I thought that was weird too. That movie came out in 1999. High school kids weren't even alive when that came out, and it's not like it's a classic by any means. Pretty terribly rated by both critics and viewers.Do you know the song Bittersweet Symphony from the Cruel Intentions soundtrack?

Can we talk about how her mom on the show is the town prostitute? That feels like a storyline that's too mature for The CW. It feels like something that would be on HBO.
Only on the cw are the mom actresses arguably hotter than the daughters.
I didn't expect to watch it but i've been convinced.
really liked the first episode.
its not a classic like The OC or Gossip Girls pilots but it was good money.
everybody going to talk about Veronica and she is good looking but the blonde Betty pulls off the "typical blonde haired in a ponytail, cardigan wearing throwback that doesn't realize she's very good looking" really well. i know that thing is pristine.

This. Ever since "The O.C." & "One Tree Hill" came out Summer/Fall 2003, it's now the norm for the moms on Teen Drama shows to be MILFs.
Sigh......There are a TON of elements on this show that they changed from the comics that I really dislike. But I defiantly end up enjoying this show every week.
