What’s the conclusion on this brehs?:jbhmm:
I am not enthusiastic over either one of these choices.

It really speaks to NY politics that we don't have a single credible progressive challenger with the pedigree of Stacy, Jealous, or Gillum in NY.

I do not think Nixon can handle a budget or state the size of NY. I don't believe my vision of a better world meshes with Cuomo's. Him complaining about a Republican-controlled NY senate is ridiculous considering HE is the one that created the problem.

I don't understand Nixon's infatuation with Bloomberg, or her stance against De Blasio. Bloomberg was a disastrous candidate.

Well Cuomo and him are at odds over just about everything

Idk what Nixon's deal is maybe they had a showdown over some special interest

Yeah its a trend, a lot of NY State politicians do not want his endorsement. I thought it was because they are scared of Cuomo, but... :yeshrug:

Honestly, Deblasio should be the one going for the Governor position next time regardless of who is in office, so she probably doesn't want to shout him out now when he'll likely be a problem later.

You think Cuomo becomes a one man political machine by allowing any real competitors grow in NY State?:usure: Hell, he's been shytting on Deblasio for how many years just because as the Mayor of NYC he refused to kiss his ring. Breh has built a political machine around people kissing that ring when he calls them and then people being so shook of him they avoid him when he's not around. He's built entire systems to get what he wants and to then be able to blame it on someone else like the Republicans controlling the legislature. Breh is a piece of shyt, but a smart piece of shyt.

Also Nixon probably loves Bloomberg because on the low she is a rich person who would love to just throw everyone a budgetary bone as long as she can consolidate a few industries important to her. Bloomberg personally funded a ton of progressive stuff arounf but on the low set up gentrification and set up amenities for the richest neighborhoods in town. Also fired damn near the entire NYC Parks staff and now volunteers do it. People don't realize that but Bloomberg at the end there went totally capitalist to try and fund his damn pet projects.

I only got to hear the first half of the debate. Thought Nixon held her own well and hit Cuomo on a few key problematic issues with him, but also had her share of missteps where she gave him space to clap back. Anyone is better than Cuomo and I think Nixon has a lot of a good ideas but she's gonna need a TEAM around her to accomplish it. I kinda wish Teachout had taken a second shot at it, but hoping she wins AG now.

I found this comment on another forum and this is exactly how I feel:

"Just found some time to watch the debate. I was actually friendly towards Nixon's candidacy. But the debate changed my mind. She was very rude and seemed unprepared for the office and the work on policy. I thought she was a fresh new face and alternative to the flawed Cuomo. I was wrong. I'd probably take a look at both again, but currently I lean towards keeping Cuomo in office. Reluctantly."
