Good for Derrick, hopefully everyone can move on. I'd love to see him somehow return back to his peak form, he's still young. :manny:

Not sure what to do with false accusers because its not a flawless system. Its easy to say they should face harsh penalties, but that will only make actual rape victims less likely to come forward than they are already. Plus can you imagine the nightmare of being raped, having your rapist get off for the crime and then you yourself being imprisoned on top of it since he's declared innocent? :what:

I dont know, tough issue :patrice:

Simple, they should only be locked up if they're proven to have intentionally made false accusations.

How do you prove that with any certainty, though? This case was actually unique due to all the other people involved. Usually these things come down to one person's word against the other's.

it won't be executed properly, so it's hard to implement, but there are enough cases where you can determine a false accusation from one where there just wasn't enough evidence. especially now with the sloppy trails on social media, texts, recorded calls, etc. i'm in favor of penalties for people who falsely accuse others of things like rape, sexual assault, and battery/domestic violence. that shyt can really fukk up the life of an innocent person, even after they've been exonerated. a fraudulent accuser shouldn't get to walk away from that freely

I'm sorry brehs, but Rose is a fukking dumbass for posing with the jurors. nikka gtfo before you get caught up again! :damn:

His lawyer should have deaded that. The optics makes it look like the jury let him off due to his celebrity status instead of the evidence. Leave the building, hop in the car, and get the hell out of there.

I've seen cases where the woman admitted to lying after the fact, or through texts to a third party like in this case, or a recorded call.

In any case, the majority of people who make false accusations would still go free but it's pretty much all you can do.

Dapped this because you have to respect the desilusion!!

Knicks fans have been believing way before LeBron was a star that this was the year it would all change.

Melo can't handle being double teamed, which is why he's lights out in the Olympics and anywhere between lights out (every now and then) to good (regularly) to bad when it matters (too often to be taken seriously) in the NBA. He is an almost unstoppable shooter, but that's about it. Double team him early and high and we know what happens.

Also, he is no leader. He's more Durant (highly skilled, but no leader) than LeBron (highly skilled, clear leader).

We'd all love a Melo-LeBron series, none more than Melo and LeBron I'm sure, but Melo and the Knicks (if this season is anything like normal) are so far off from a Championship team, it is simply highly unlikely. And we know what happens when Melo gets in a Playoff series in a decisive game: he will ball hog and not feed the rock to players who are shooting well that game.
