It bothers me somewhat, that Rose would be so pessimistic about his return, and the way he is handling it speaks negatively to his character either way. I am thinking one of two things and maybe you Bulls fans can correct me if I misstep on the info or you may have some inside track.
1. His ACL isn't healing like it should, he's tried some intense training and he's just not moving like he used to. In which case, he needs to be upfront about that, because that being the case, he needs to say that. I'm not ok with a MAX PLAYER being ok with missing the rest of the year, that's disturbing. Maybe he needs to work on his jumpshot more and contribute that way. Learn from guys like Steve Nash who are effective without necessarily being overly athletic.
2. D-Rose is holding his team by the balls knowing good and well that they will wait for him to come back and he wants to gauge the temperature of the team as it is to see if that is the place for him long term or whether or not he should take his talents to South Beach or LA or a some other city messed up as that may sound
Either way, this isn't cool, and if I'm the organization I would press him more than they are, though this could change in the future.
