NO. But i absolutely despise mofos sagging their pants so i'll even take the metrosexual looking sh!t over it any day. 3 times a day. Double on Sunday.

Ive even kicked my nephews out my car and house until they pulled up their pants.

That little punk was trying to be slick too. I picked them up and they got in the care and i see his belt midway down his thighs

Me - Didier and Eric. I need both of you to pull your pants up
Didier pulls his pants up. Eric thinking i wasnt looking just acts like he does but really doesnt and jumps in the back seat.
I get out the car, open his door and give him the :stopitslime: look.
Eric: WHat?
Me - You either pull your pants up or you can stay and i'll have your dad or grandpa come get you with you pants sagging like this
Eric - oh ok :guilty:

I hear you. But over time i've come to understand and accept that a lot is about perception in life.

Only thing Stern gave a fukk about was his money. And if in order to sell his product (basketball) to his core audience (middle aged whites) he has to get his business partners who also care about their money (the players) to meet him half way on the presentation of the league with something as minor as a damn dress code then that's what he will do. It happens everywhere in every industry, B. If you dont think presentation matters, try this. Open a high end restaurant in a bad part of town and have your waiters dress up like AI in this pic while having most of your meals costing over $80 for a basic dinner for 2. You could have God himself cooking in that kitchen cooking the best meal ever donned on human kind. Still wouldnt be profitable. Prejudice will happen in this world. It's part of the environment and sometimes you will have to navigate around it.

I'll go even further about perception: WOuld you wife a woman who is a prostitute or largely perceived as one?

:flabbynsick::flabbynsick: Shoulda put them onto that leisure suit game.

Also I've never heard anyone complain about white athletes looking unprofessional, with the exception of Matt Stafford

Hiphop was already fashionable. Many hiphop artists had been rocking similar sh!t for years. Jay-Z, Slick Rick among the few.

It's jus that most hiphop heads would rather spit Jay's lyrics while dressing like FreeWay. The dresscode forced players to use their options and stop being lazy when it comes to wardrobe.
When i say fashionable, I mean metrosexual. Like it being perfectly fine for players to wear tight pants & shirts & capris & weird designs & shyt like that. That wasn't culturally ok in the pre-dress code era

horrible analogy
I said i'd go further, did I?

As prejudice as the perception of that look is, it's still shared among a lot sports fans. Like it or not

I give 0 fukks about how whites are perceived. THeir stereotypes dont apply to me and my kind

Well them tigh pant sh!t are the NEW look in fashion so hiphop just followed suit by making its own adjustments. I'm sure JayZ's newer suits are a little tighter than his old ones

in 2001 baggy jeans and velour was fashionable its like everything else it changes over time...if you was rocking floral print and skinny camo pants 14 yrs ago you woulda got clowned as much as you would today for wearing 3XL tees...

Again, if you are talking about me, my personal beef is with sagging pants. I dont rock long white Tees but i have no beef with it

As for the NBA and it's desire to distance itself from the "street/urban" fashion all i can say is Stern is a Businessman and will do anything to appeal to his core audience.

I was all for the sh!t when Stern implemented and enforced but mofos in the Coli (sohh coli days) were all up in arms about it. If it wasnt for Stern the sidelines would be filled with dudes with their belt buckles down to their knees and sh!t.

So instead of
z_alleniverson_195.jpg
we have have
nba_g_bron_wade_b1_576.jpg

Don't get me wrong i understood the outrage by some in the black community at the time by saying the Stern was imposing and not allowing people to express themselves. And they were right. But at the same time let's not deny that if he didn't some players would keep pushing the limits until we had dudes with their pants sagging down to their knees on a damn NBA sideline.

No, none of that shyt would have happened. Just as the baggy look has basically been phased out on a mainstream level it would have been phased out by the league. You'd have a bunch of cats rocking skinny jeans and weird ass outfits, kinda like what's happening right now.
