I will say this.... I do think that it's a bit hypocritical that dudes are complaining that Dak should be Goff and Wentz like money while also making the complaint that both of those mentioned players are overpaid.

They want him to get paid just because he's half black. If he was full white this wouldn't even be a thread under the same circumstances.

They are literally asking Dallas to make the same mistake that both Philly and the Rams did, who both had to give up assets to offload those contracts. Dak is a fellow Bulldog alum, but he isn't worth amount of money that he's asking for.

I think a lot of ya'll are thinking about this wrong. The reason that I want Dak to get paid is because of market value. You can't all of the sudden ignore the market when it's time for him to get paid. Because if the market for a starting top 10 QB(at worst) was 20 million you better believe Jerry would point directly to that market when negotiating with Dak.

Market value says that he should be paid that amount yes, but don't go making threads and complaining that he's overpaid when the same people that you're comparing him to are/were overpaid as well. The same dudes people want Dak to get paid like are the same ones who dudes are always talking about being a burden to their team and not worth the contract. If those players weren't worth what they got, then Dak isn't either regardless of whether the market says that's what they should get.

You can't call some players overpaid and then think that others should receive that same amount with none of the same criticism. That's being hypocritical. If Goff and Wentz got criticism and head for not living up to their contract, then Dak should receive that same heat regardless of whether he is black or not. They got paid "what the market said" and you see the end result. Their former teams had to give up picks just to offload the contract.

I'm all for young brothas getting paid but at some point the team has to put their foot down. And this is one of those cases i believe. Only thing is if we are going to end up parting ways with Dak we need to get his replacement on the roster NOW with all these QB's potentially being on the market.

That is what's going to have to happen at some point with QB salaries steadily rising. Even Philly and the Rams should have put their foot down instead of dishing out those megadeals, which they had to offload picks just to move from. So why should Dallas make that same mistake just because other teams have/did?

The reason that his negotiations are as high profile is not because he's black, but a member of "America's team." Anything Dallas Cowboys related is going to be front page news and highly talked about banter and dudes on here know that.
