look at 09 in particular...that's the year they gained the most rushing yards (2103), but supposedly according to yall cats, they couldn't run the ball that year and got exposed by the vikings...like i said: yall keep thinking that dumb shyt lol....
This is a passing league fukk boy...... UNLESS YOU HAVE A DOMINATE DEFENSE.... You can run the ball until cleats get worn down to the nubs. it won't make a difference.
You see the Cowboys fukkery was on many layers.
1. Defense sucked and it not only sucked but it sucked at the worst times.
2. Because the defense got progressively worse you couldn't count on them to get stops and thus your offense was forced to out score teams.
3. The defense could not close games. Romo bailed out that defense many times but the defense rarely if at all bailed out the offense.
4. This is the first time Murray was healthy for most of the year. Its also a year in which the offensive line has been at its best since 2007..... but the defense was so bad last year running the ball was useless in most for their games because the defense couldn't stop shyt. You run to eat up the clock and when teams score points on you in bunches, you can't afford to play keep away. You have to score points.

if you really want to go there I will shut you down. You bring up 2009. ok. They didn't have a 1000 yard back, they only had 1 game where they back rushed for over 100 yards and they lost that game. They basically rushed for the same amount of yards in their wins and losses. The difference in that 2009 team was the defense point blank period.

you cherry picking scenarios and seasons. Murray was the first 1000 yard back since 2006. Every year the running backs get hurt. They had one of the worst offensive lines for a few seasons which is why Dallas sucked in the redzone. And do you know why their red zone offense has been a problem for many years (until the emergence of Dez)
The couldn't run the damn ball MAN! They leave points on the field because once they get into the red-zone they can't run and they get stupid penalties. This past season wouldn't have made a difference if they ran the ball or not. There were games where Murray played well but got limited carries because the Defense couldn't stop the other team. The offense was forced to match points and momentum.
But then there are games like GB where Murray had over 135yds and they voluntarily decided to stop running the ball and it bit them in the ass. Also let's not forget the Wade years where they did have good enough D to hold teams under 17-20pts but the Offense couldn't score more than 13pts, the real problem is Garrett and if he hasn't figured it out now then he never will. Romo needs a coach that knows when to let him be that gunslinger and when to make him be that bus driver, remember that Lions game years ago? 1 of those ints came off a damn 3rd&1 and they had been running the ball effectively against the Lions that game.

The exact kind of thinking that keeps teams from ever winning shyt. He's been there for a decade and has all of one playoff win to show for it and they haven't made the playoffs in 5 years yet he's somehow irreplaceable?
You can bring any QB in to miss the playoffs every year.

This is all true but how about we get a defense that can make atleast 1 stop. We had an all-time worst defense out there and we got people in here blaming romo. Romo is a 10-11 game win a yr qb on a 4-12 roster. We have no depth to speak of and our d line is the worst in the league, but yea lets blame romo and the offense for our failures
There's that. There's trading for one like KC did last year. There is picking up Freeman or McCown off the scrap heap. All of which would cost way less money than keepnig Romo with at worst the same results.
