This is all true but how about we get a defense that can make atleast 1 stop. We had an all-time worst defense out there and we got people in here blaming romo. Romo is a 10-11 game win a yr qb on a 4-12 roster. We have no depth to speak of and our d line is the worst in the league, but yea lets blame romo and the offense for our failures

:laff: Seriously breh. :comeon:

Look I am not gonna act like it's all on Romo but we can't go all the way the other way and act like none of it is Romo either. Late in a close game or in a game where the Cowboys have the lead you can pretty much set your watch by a Romo fukk-up.

Freeman or McCown? dahell:

am out, cmon dog thats disrespectful. we've been competitive, we go from that with romo to flat being ass with freeman or mccown? :camby:

What good is being competitive every year and not making the playoffs, especially in a division where 9-10 wins will get you in? With those guys you would have more money to spend in other areas and if the bottom did fall out you would have top 5 pick instead of languishing in the middle of the first round every year.

Breh you cant be serious. What about all the other times he brings us back to win? Like the 49ers game with broken ribs and punctured lungs. Im not saying he shoildnt be blamed but we can win with him. If you dont think hes a 10 or 11 win qb, explain how we went 13-3 and 11-5 with him. The 8-8 yrs i can pick at least two games that either the defense blew or garrett blew. We need talent on defense or it wont matter regardless of the qb we bring in here.

How about you explain why the 11 and 13 win seasons have been the exception while .500 seasons have been the rule throughout his career. The defense wasn't bad every year. He's had more than his fair share of offensive firepower. You can't say a guy is a 10 or 11 win QB when we have a decade of proof that say otherwise and then try to act as if the burden of proof is on me. :heh:

I can pick games out of the 8-8 years that he blew too what's your point? Once again I never said it was all on him or denied the defense or the coaches role in things but my man has some just :mindblown: fukk-ups on a disturbingly consistent basis and people like yourself completely ignore them.

Again there were times when the D did get that 1 stop only to have the O turn it right back over to the other team, this D last year was the worst D in Cowboys history but they weren't always bad in the Romo Era. Like i said i blame Garrett more than i do Romo because if your HC doesn't have a feel for the game how can the QB overcome that? I blame Romo for forcing bad throws into obvious bad coverage and taking sacks when he needs to get rid of the ball, outside of that he's still a playmaker who really needs to start utilizing Dez more than Witten.

if you really want to go there I will shut you down. You bring up 2009. ok. They didn't have a 1000 yard back, they only had 1 game where they back rushed for over 100 yards and they lost that game. They basically rushed for the same amount of yards in their wins and losses. The difference in that 2009 team was the defense point blank period.

lol shut what down?...our whole exchange was about you saying they cant run the ball and me disagreeing saying they can, but choose not to.....which are 2 different things....and i was cool with your opinion on it until you tried to make it a fact, that's why i went to stats.....and the reason i said look at 09 is cause you specified that year about them supposedly getting exposed by the vikings and not being able to run the ball, which i proved was not true.....and when i proved that, you then tried to change up what we were talking about saying 'well, those numbers dont matter, it's a passing league'...lol come on on man...

and here you go with the 1000 yd back talk...i've agreed with you they dont have that #1 type rb to carry the load like that, but they dont need it when they do rb by committee...in a committee it's about the total yards they get collectively, not individually...and collectively, they got over 2000 yds that year, but you keep saying they couldnt run the ball...

and as i stated numerous times: i agree with you the defense needs help and gets blame too...but it's not an all or nothing deal with the blame on the team....and if any unit deserves more blame, it's the offense that doesnt adjust nor do what will help the team win....if you know your defense is suspect, you dont try to score fast, you run the ball/shorten the game to keep them off the field; yet romo/garrett are choosing not to do that....but you keep ignoring that...

...anyway, it's cool...the exchange was fun...i like the fiya you show for them boys, keep that up...

It's true. Romo fukks up a lot late in games.. but it's usually after the defense suffers some sort of monumental collapse and Jason Garrett decides they have to throw the ball every play. The Gunslinger comes out when you put it all on Romo's shoulders, which leads to a lot of misjudged throws that turn in to INT's.

If you gave Romo some stability, put him on a well rounded team.. the amount of late game fukk ups would decrease.

but garrett and romo wont do that cause they want to be the heroes...it shows every year in a lot of games...

Breh half the time he is the collapse. :heh: What collapse did the defense suffer against Denver when they finally got some stops and had Romo in position to win it against a defense that was pretty weaks its damn self? What collapse occured before he threw the picks that led directly to points for GB? What was the collapse that led to that piss poor clock management in Detroit? That's 3 W's right there on a platter that he fukked up with piss poor decision making/throws at the worst possible time. They coulda been restin his ass in that Reskins game when he got hurt with those 3 W's in their pockets instead of needing a heroic late effort just to salvage their playoff hopes.

I am not one to put it all on one guy, especially in football but this guy has made it clear over the course of a decade that he is not to be trusted late in games, especially big games. We can talk about coaching and teammates all day but in all reality EVERY QB can thrive on stable, well rounded team that doesn't put too much on their shoulders. They aren't paying Romo to be every QB though.

Really? Really? You're going to put the Denver loss on Romo? Romo's touchdown pass to Williams put them back in to position after being down 35 to 20. Romo throws for 500+ yards and 5 TD's an you wanna put it all on him. The defense only started making stops after Romo said "I got this shyt" and started putting up points.

Also, you do realize in the Green Bay game we were up 26-3 in the 2nd half? That's a collapse. Not all the Defenses fault in this scenario, but here's where Jason Garret's ineptitude as a coach an play caller comes in. We throw the ball on almost every down in that half while still having the lead most of the time even with the Packers knocking on the doorstep. No run game at all. Romo throws the bad, untimely interceptions but if the D doesn't let GB back in, and Garrett knew how to call a fukking football game, Romo wouldn't have been in the position to blow the game.

Also.. let's go back to 2011 I think it was. The Cowboys are up 34-22 and there's less than 5 minutes to go in the game. What Happens? The Defense can't stop the Giants from scoring with that little amount of time left on the clock. They lose.

I agree that we are paying Romo too much money for a guy who isn't elite, and isn't proven in big games, but that's the nature of the game. Joe Flacco has one great Post season and he inflates the numbers that Average QB's are now going to get paid. :yeshrug:

There we go. Nothing else needs to be said but I will anyway. :heh: We have yet to see one of these big money QBs win a SB at some point that shyt is gonna click with these teams. I can understand breaking a guy off for a SB win. I can't understand breaking a 33 yr old with 1 playoff win and a laundry list of fukk ups off though. No need to belabor that because we pretty much agree.

No matter how they got there. The fact reamains that against Denver (the most prolifice offense ever I might add) Romo had the ball in a tie game with what... a minute or so left and promplty throws a pick. That's horrible breh. No excuses for that.

Didn't Romo call an audible on one of those plays against GB? Doesn't he have carte blanche to change plays? Don't get me wrong, Garrett deserves his fair shar of blame too. I never defended him or the defense. My point is that Romo doesn't really warrant defense himself. They all play a role in this and nobody warrants "bu..bu..but how do we replace him" status? You can get and average coach and an average QB and and average defense to put up and average record like 8-8 every year.
