Don't understand how folk talk so greasy about romo. His mistakes would not be so magnified if he had a run game, coaching staff and defense worth a shyt.
This is actually a good move. You can't pay a DE on the decline at the age of 32, 16 million, 17 million, 14, million, and 14 million. Hatcher and Spencer are over 30 too. You can't keep playing these olds guys that type of money. You have to get young. Give the young guys a chnace to eat on their minimum contracts.
I honestly thought Jerry would love these guys so much that he would keep them and overpay for their service.
I'm expecting the same for J. Peppers.

He plays for the Cowboys.
my brother always jokes bout how cowboys fans and the casual NFL fans are retarded in their stupidity towards Romo and how if he played in Cleveland, or Jacksonville, they would have already had a "We are Witnesses" poster a la Lebron for him
That's one thing I say about the nfl they will give you a contract and cold drop you'll.just imagine if the NBA did that Amare would of been a free agent years ago...damn D Rose may have been cut.
Romo is as much a part of the problem as everyone else. He's an excellent 'stats QB', but when it comes to winning critical games, he folds up a lot of times. Part of it is due to Garrett, but part of it is due to him. Just off offensive talent alone we should have made the playoffs, especially with how weak the division was this year. Dez Bryant getting significantly better and being one of the best WRs in the league. Terrance Williams showing a lot of spark on offense. Cole Beasely being a nice third option. Hall of Fame TE Jason Witten. Demarco Murray having an excellent year. O-line being significantly better... Us giving Romo more leeway on running the offense... Garrett removed from play-calling and Callahan being the replacement and yet we still go 8 and 8. Throughout this reign of mediocrity, the only significant constants have been Romo and Garrett. We've changed everything on the team but them essentially. Still the same results.
I talk shyt about him cause he fukks up...yea, he puts up stats, that's good for fantasy, but the cowboys need a reality qb...a qb that doesn't fukk up when the game is on the line...a qb that doesnt have to be the reason the team wins (that's why they don't have a running game, it's not cause they cant, it's cause him and garrett wont)....a qb that doesn't do that dumb ass brett farve 'just having fun out there' smile after he fukked up and they lose cause of it...speaking of brett, they need a qb that didn't go to the brett farve school of qbing; fukk a gun slinger, give me a qb that went to the joe Montana school of qbing...they need a qb that doesn't sack himself at the slightest pressure by falling down instead of remembering the reason fans liked him in the first place is cause he could run.....
....man, i'm stop and finish drinking...cant believe you cats really taking up for romo..
If Romo has the highest QB rating in the 4th quarter always completes a high percentage of his passes and has a high TD to INT ratio, without even looking at a game I would say that Dallas plays in a lot of close games. The problem with Dallas is they rely on Romo way too much. He has a lot of close victories but because ALL of their games are close, he has a lot of losses as well.
Funny how Ware never got blamed for that defense not coming through.
The reason a lot of the games are close in the first place is that the offense barely scores in the first half of the game and we're either neck and neck with the other team in the second half or we're trailing from behind, so his 4th quarter ratings will be excellent. Ware did disappear in games and his performance was declining... couple that with his exorbitant salary, and hence you have him being cut.

you ignored the part of my post when I said 'wants to be the reason the team wins' huh?...the team doesn't rely on romo cause they need to, he and garrett force the team to rely on him with the dumbass play calling...those 2 try to be the reason the cowboys win games cause they trying to get romo in the brady, manning, Rodgers class; but ultimately they the reason they lose...don't believe me, just look at the games they lost...there's no reason why when a cat is avg 7-8 yds a rush he doesn't get more than 20 rushes, but it happened more times than not this year and they end up losing the game(now, at the end of the game, murray might have ended up with more than 20, but at that point the game was over and it was garbage time)....and after the game, we hear the same bullshyt being spit by romo and garrett 'we need more balance in the offense....we need to run the ball more'....what happens next game? they start running the ball effectively in the 1st quarter, get a lead...but then for some reason they abandon the run and let romo throw the rest of the fukking game, and lose...wash, rinse, repeat...
and don't be fooled by the media: ware gets blame from fans...the reason it's not like that in the media is cause it's a qb league, so the qb gets all the credit and blame (unless your name is brady, manning, Rodgers, brees[<-----although he shouldn't be included, he is])
