Lee played it cool, knowing the cameras were on him.
He could play the "i was under duress and just told him what he wanted to hear". :picard:

Think about it. Lee knew the deal. He saw the cameras a mile away.

On the surface, it may seem Dame is exposing Lee. Maybe so. :ehh:

What is really telling is that Lee been finessing Dame all these years (allegedly). :dame:

How does this happen? :gucci:

Dame, the so-called businessman. How does Dame let Lee play him like this, all these years?

:gucci:
Daniels also kindly said "I will pay you your money."

Trust me nobody wants to be exposed these days on a grand scale. Hollywood is shook of any negative press, negativity grows legs in this era very fast.

Yea what I'm saying is their last quarrel in 2015 is dog years in the past from the climate we're in now.

Stop defending that clown. When he was in top he had nothing to say about these so called culture vultures. He went on the radio and put down his own people who work 9 to 5 jobs.

I wish the worst on him!

He didn't have anything to say ABOUT them because everything he had to say, he said TO them.

@BmoreGorilla add this clown to the list.

This could be a situation like Dame gave him $50-100K to finish Precious or whatever the project was and Daniels is like you'll get your initial money back plus a percentage/back end of the profits if the film is profitable which it was. Maybe he got his $50-100K back but he didn't the backend percentage which could amount to $2 million. No way he hands him two million and is simply owed two million. You only invest in films to get more than what you put into it. You're only happy to break even if the movie is a flop

Don’t need to know the whole story to know that when you invest in a film, ANY FILM, you more than likely won’t get your money back.

Dame will definitely get his money back now bc he caught Daniels admitting that he’s going to pay him on camera - but again, this is a highly unusual move.
:mjlol:

If that was true nobody would invest in films

:mjlol: Make this the second emotional outburst with no data, article, or anything to support their argument

What’s funny is I just saw dame talk about this with TMZ and he said the movie in question was SHADOWBOXER and it lost money (dames words)

But his was the first ever indie film to NOT make its money back huh :pachaha:

This isn’t true, there are benefits to investing in films, it’s just not the same as investing in real estate.

Also many people invest in films for the art/culture - again look at Malcolm X’s investors, look at the beginning of Ken burns documentaries and count the investors

What is this data, article, or anything you speak of? What are you looking for? It's called general common sense. Why would any business person, especially an accomplished and successful one, invest money in something knowing they will never get any of that money back? That's a perfect example of hustling backwards. Who in the hell told you that is anywhere remotely astute business practice?
