ive made movies, myself.. also, worked on plenty of films..

you dont know what youre talking about.. :francis:

Fam. It’s a known fact that most movies don’t make money, indie movies especially.

This doesn’t mean the people involved careers are over, it’s just the nature of the business.

Again, take my example Malcolm X - movie went over budget, spike borrowed money, movie comes out and didn’t even break even - so if anybody was wanting their money back from that film, how would they get it?

^^^ all of this can be googled, researched, prove me wrong. :coffee:

I honestly think my comment is straightforward. Is Lee Daniels not rich and successful? What's really the problem in this situation? A man gives you money, you pay him back. Surely, he's able to pay back the money at this point, no?

Your argument is that Dame should basically drop it because he's supposed to assume a loss for... reasons LMAO.

I literally just addressed this. You ever see THE WOODSMAN? That movie was as indie as indie can get, if it made 1 million dollars I’d be shocked.

Do you see him hounding that director for money? He’s going after someone he worked with in the past he knows has huge money bc he needs some.

Most films indie films lose money, again look it up, I thought this was common knowledge

If thats the case- that just means Spike still owes the investors money back..

I already proved you wrong, by telling you ive made.. as well as worked on many films.. you clearly just want to go back & forth about something you have no DIRECT knowledge of.. typical clown sh!t.. :russell:

:russ: None of this has anything to do with the points I made, let alone disprove them.

But I’m bowing out - dame is basically begging for money and embarrassed himself right here imo.

But get your last word in, I’m out.

Dame gotta be 50 years old, that’s common sense.

Dame has been catching good steam as of late. I wish the best for that man, wanna know why? Because he is upfront, confident, outspoken, and he truly believes in what he surrounds himself with.

Certain types of people, including some in this thread can't stand people with those characteristics. Because it exposes them.

It is easier than ever to fund an indie film, but harder than ever to get people to see it

I see the point you're trying to make, I just don't know if it applies in this circumstance... or perhaps any circumstance really because you're essentially arguing for charity.

Individuals aren't just going to write off that much money as a loss, plus Dame has been adamant about this for a while now.
