There's pretty much no way to PASSIONATELY talk about why you like having a boss without sounding like a slave. I don't think anybody really WANTS a boss, it's a settle move or they're simply afraid to invest in themselves. And if they say the common answer, "I make more money here than I would as an entrepreneur", then logical next question is "Why don't you have the confidence that your company could be as big/profitable as the company you currently work for?"

Owning a business ultimately means operating a business. Something very different from the work of the business itself. I'm an attorney. A trial attorney. I enjoy the legal work I do as an associate at a law firm. Litigating cases. Opening my own shop would entail operating a law firm. Accounting, marketing, advertising, obtaining office supplies, etc. that doesn't interest me. It would also be risky. Many law firms in my practice area fail. It is very competitive. I'm confident in my ability as a litigator. I don't have an interest in operating a law firm though.

I'm not going to argue what is smart or what is not, but Dame was right about one point, if you're not the one putting up the money then you aren't the boss. You're just the supervisor. Whoever gave you the money might let you do whatever because they have trust in your skill or expertise or whatever, but if you wanna do some shyt they don't like, they're not going to let you. But if they wanna do some shyt YOU don't like, you're not going to be able to do shyt about it. Everything IS simple, but people try to make it more complex.
