As a man that owns and is running a successful business, I know enough to know that a nikka that would trade his shyt in for an extra $60k a year wasn't really doing shyt with the business to begin with. Overall it's a good thing that you realized you weren't cut out for entrepreneurship. fukk nikka :camby:

Delusions of grandeur having ass nikka. Dame is that you?

So would you rather own a hot dog stand or be CEO of Apple own 10 billion dollars of their shares?

If you look at lists of the most powerful people it's all workers, except Bill Gates who doesn't work anymore. But even Warren Buffet is "only" co-owner of Birkshare, theoretically they could kick him out but the probablility of that happening is infinitesimal. In 2015 people collaborate, all large companies go public (except some commodity trading firms and other shady businesses). And in doing so, you spread the power among several individuals who all need each other to make decisions.

At the end of the day there's levels to this shyt. Dame is talking about co-owning a little club and throwing parties at 45 years of age. So he can hire his son as a Dj or cleaner or something. Then he's wondering why Envy can't do the same at a multi billion dollar company. Dame also seem to think that everyones joy is to make money regardless of what they do. I don't know if he understands that some people enjoy doing the shyt they do on the level they do it.

And theoretically he wasnt boss at The Roc, he needed Jay, Biggs and Def Jam to cosign. Which allegedly is one of the reasons to why he got left in the bushes cause he thought he was a boss and not a minority partner.
Honestly, the fact that your go-to comparison was between a hot dog stand and being the top executive at one of the largest companies in the world pretty much tells me everything I need to know about your mentality. You and I debating this would probably be a fruitless conversation, you're too far invested in the other direction.

As far as the second statement, it seems that you think everyone's goal is to make as much money despite what they do. Most people who go into business for themselves do it for the control, not necessarily for the amount of money they can/will make. Most understand that, short term, your financial rewards will tend to be better as an employee than running a startup company, but what's the price for freedom? Maybe for you it's $15 per hour, or $10M per year or $10B worth of Apple shares, I don't know, but for others it's priceless. :yeshrug:

And by the way, I never said either way was "right" or "wrong" or made you more/less of a man.

For all you cats thinking Dame is dropping gems - why hasn't he told you why those businesses failed or succeeded? Where is he telling you exactly how to start a business? I mean seriously, what did he say that wasn't a derp moment? He told you to be a boss - no shyt. That's common advice everyone gives. Now where did he tell you how to be a boss and what mistakes to avoid?

You cats get caught up in what sounds good but aren't stepping back to analyze the message being sent. He didn't say shyt in that interview that would expand your knowledge on how to make it.

Everywhere...You never there.
low key highlights:

1. Dame negotiating with Envy to buy him out and Envy entertaining it :mjlol:... perhaps the biggest L Envy took.
2. Dame to Guy on his left: "Would you betray me for 100k?":birdman:
Guy on his left likely thoughts: :patrice::whoo::ehh::whew:
Guy on his left answer: "Nah.":aicmon:

3. Mook tryin' to speak for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement until Yee said something.

4. Mook tuning out at the 45 min mark...

Dame to Mook: "Could you do that?":birdman:
Mook: :dwillhuh: ... "Wha-?"

5. Mook's backstory about the potential Drake battle

6. His dog whimpering ... it's like his own dog knows Dame is scrambling to stay relevant on some, "don't start this shyt again... whyyyyyyyyy?":why:
truly a man's best friend...dog tried to divert him... Dame didn't heed the warning tho. :to:

7. Guy on his left tryin' to drop gems and everybody like :ld:

8. Char being smart enough to fall back on the animated series talks on some :whoa::mjlol:

But Im rooting for Dame, yall. I really think he means well. :to:

How could he have the money to fund all these ideas if he's broke?

And 2, why y'all keep forgetting about his business with Rachel....that's successful.

Annnd jay z has had his own share of failures. But that's neither here nor there.
Of course people who have been employees their whole lives would clown somebody else for failing. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO FAIL IN LIFE!!!!! It's that simple. If you take chances, you're bound to fail... IT'S GOOD FOR YOU. But if you always run to whatever the most secure option is, of course you'll criticize someone who has the guts to go out on his own and do his own thing.

Why do you need Damon Dash to tell you this shyt? ALL of this information/knowledge is out there. Dame is just encouraging people to go into business for themselves, nobody should be expecting him to be their personal adviser. If Michael Jordan told you the way to become a GOAT athlete is to practice, would you be mad because he didn't send you a 10 page file specifying his exact workout regimen?

:stopitslime:

Why wouldn't I want the dude people claim that is dropping gems to actually give some substance to his claims? You can't be fukking serious. I know that information which is exactly what I and others have been posting about and it doesn't agree with the nonsense Dame Dash is talking. How about that? If MJ told me to be the GOAT I have to practice I'd look at him like he was stupid. No shyt I have to practice - now are you gonna actually give details and substance or just keep spouting stuff that sounds good? What did Dame tell you in that interview that is actually credible and that you didn't already know? Be honest. All you can tell me is that Dame said be a boss.

I don't think people are really caping for Dame as much as they are supporting entrepreneurship, at least that's where I'm coming from. I don't really gain or lose if Dame eats or not.

dame is definitely spitting knowledge. but some stuff i cant rock with. everyone cant be a boss. a business cant be successful without people working under you. you clowing those 9-5 folks but some people work purely for benefits. you wanna hustle money but when u gotta go to the doctor, you look stupid when that bill comes in. If i have a son, im not gonna just give him the company. he needs to go to school. learn business sense. you want your children to have pride. to actually earn something and work for it. Not get handouts because of who your dad is.

Wait, but educators have a boss, so in Dame's opinion, they aren't worth shyt either :mjlol:

What's delusional about what I did? If you think I'm being delusional then yes i can see why you traded in your hobby for a job. That was the smart thing to do in your situation.
