Watching
Dame was talking about Kanye West-Kardashian

:dead:

Is this how it'll be in every article from now on?

there seems to be some miscommunication.

nobody is saying that rocafella made kanye or aftermath made eminem.

we're saying that in order to blow up in a certain manner, it takes alot of things to come together at the right time. its basically like winning a championship in a team sport.

@No_bammer_weed
@Durrbrowski

yall went so far off course, i can tell that yall dont really get it.

and thats all im sayin.

I dunno when cats started to listen to Eminem but I was up on him around '97 or so, when "5 Star Generals" and all his Wake Up Show shyt dropped....and if you told me he'd eventually sell 10 million records I would've thought you were high out of your fukking mind.
Him signing to Dre was one of the most :what:moments I can remember in my 30ish years of listening to hip-hop. My brother who wasn't even into rap heavy called me up asking if I'd heard of him, and that he was signed to Dre. I was like :dwillhuh: "the fukk?"

Hell, I would've put money on Black Star blowing up over Eminem back then, without a second guess. They were a hell of a lot more polished.

That would've been a losing bet but it wasn't readily apparent to me anyway, that he'd blow up regardless. Nor anyone that I knew.

Kanye I wasn't really up on that much until "Through The Wire" dropped so I can't speak on him either way.

Dame gave Puffy the idea for Revolt tv too :skip:

Im not even a Dame hater...but dude will say some real shyt, and then the next sentence utter complete bullshyt.

:lool:
Who's heard of Creative Control? "Big shout to Puff for pulling that off. Pause" He's a grown man still using pause. :heston:

And there's something off about his cheek there.

Would love to see Puff pull a Lox phone call on him

I'm done with Dame and all his dikk riders

this nikka did not believe in Kanye, he was gonna let Kanye have an album with all the rocafella artist on there rapping on his beats

He made Through the Wire with his own money and even threw a party to promote it that was huge without rocafella's help

he made himself that's why Jay fukked with him and not the other roc artist, because kanye made himself
nikkaz trying to rewrite history Kanye did himself and the ROc got on board after he made himself hot

:what:

people way older than dame use the term "pause"

not to mention, dame was one of the main people that popularized the term in the 1st place.

Fred.

Eminem would not have blown without Dre, he was too raw and Dre refined him. The Slim Shady LP was a bunch of old ass tracks, but what they did with Em was give him a Formula, that My Name Is shyt blew up the moment it was released

Kanye would have blew up regardless because he was part of the sound that was popular at the time

Kanye and Just Blaze were the back bone of the Roc. The Roc didn't take off as a label until 99 with Beanie Sigel's the Truth, which Kanye produced the lead single and Just Blaze produced on there as well

Then the Dynasty album was when Kanye and Just Blaze left their mark with the patent Roc sound, This Can't Be life, was a radio hit, and it wasn't no club joint or anything. They were changing the game, because the production was so good you could put out meaningful records and still get play.

The Blueprint say more, Kanye was actually rapping on the hook of Never Change, he was always trying to be a rapper

Kanye had the sound because he produced, all he needed to do was rap on his own beats

Eminem had to be giving a formula to follow

you sound stupid ass hell, you acting like Dame was a Barry Gordy type of exec coming up with a business model

he road jay-z coat tails until he shook off and now he wanna take credit for Kanye when he's on video admitting HE OVERLOOKED and Kanye did everything himself, and he was proud of him because that's why he would've done I posted it already

whats with you lame ass dudes coming out of nowhere throwing shots for no reason? you mad cuz you playing with your hand tonight?

and youre the one that sounds stupid seeing that i never even insinuated that dame was a barry gordy type. you have to be a real dikkhead to even assume that i was insinuating anything of that nature.

kanye & just blaze were not the back-bone of the roc. their beats were popular, but their production wasnt vital during that time period when the roc started taking over. it wasnt a situation like say mannie fresh/cash money, BBTP/no limit, swizz/ruff ryders, hitmen/bad boy, dre & daz/death row, etc.

that wasnt the case. they were important to the roc but not that important when the roc was starting to take over in those '00-01 years. not to mention that rocafella used a plethora of other producers, whether in-house or out-house. especially when it came to making singles.

blaze & kanye moreso helped put rocafella over the top. NOT on top.

referring to them as the back-bone of the label is an over-statement. state property was the back-bone. theyre the ones that got rocafella over the hump. and their whole lure was the emceeing.

The Roc didn't take over shyt until Just Blaze and Kanye were the main producers you moron
I'm not throwing shots because you make dumb ass claims saying Kanye help building the roc is rewriting history when it's not

when people think of the Roc they think of the soulful production nothing else

Kanye made his money as a producer and then invested in himself as a RAPPER

The Driven video states that Dame was gonna let him do an album only in Name with all the other artist on their rapping his beats just to keep him happy so he would stay on as a producer, never thought he was good rapper

kanye had other plans of course and took matters into is own hands

why don't you watch it

yes you are throwing shots. you sound like a twerp talking chit behind a computer for no reason. your first words towards me were random insults. smh. get a life.

the roc was already on top before they started running with the soul samples all like that, you little nitwit.

f*ck a driven video. im not even apart of that side-argument that youre referring too. learn how to read and follow text.

edit: i just clicked on the video and they gave no sense of any sort of timeline. they just rushed thru it within 30 seconds. didnt even mention how they started pushing him as a rapper as far back as "paid in full".

You sound like a bytch, "yes you are throwing shots" you the one talking about I was rewriting history and now that I cooked your ass you wanna get homotional okay I'm throwing shots then you dumb ass nikka

I didn't even insult I said you sound stupid, then you called me a lame ass nikka, so you insulted me first and then I cooked you

You the cat to try to crack on somebody then they start roasting you back and you cant take it

Kanye and Just Blaze were on the Roc in 99 nikka, they didn't take shyt until around 2000-2001, the entire Roc catalog is basically Just Blaze and Kanye

Dame ain't made one beat, he ain't write one verse he never did shyt but talk shyt, and bully just ble

You didn't watch the video, Dame even said he was listening to Kanye, they was gonna give him a token album just to shut him up, but Kanye put himself on
they give an exact timeline, nevermind man, don't even reply you one of them nikkaz who just can't admit there wrong nobod even knew what Kanye looked like when paid in full came out

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
lets be reality. in the early 2000's, dude was destined to blow with or without the roc simply because of all the quality production he was putting out. He was gonna release his own album just off that alone. and we all know he had plenty of hot beats back then.
Not true..in fact..he wasn't even Rocafella's go to producer..it was Just Blaze.
