How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
Nah dame is the better businessman but jayz has the fame.
Dame is not a better business man. Dame does business the way Dame likes to do business. They look at business differently.
Dame wants to build business from ground up, have no bosses, everything self made, which is more entrepreneurial .
Jay wants to expand his brand and his pockets, but he never wants to put up his own money, or at least as little as possible. He will get investors involved, and he doesn't have issue with having to justify his moves to investment groups. Dame despises that business model.
Either way, you can find success in either. Jay's way is low risk, and if done right, like Jay does it, high reward (but usually low reward in most other business models)
Dame's way is high risk, and high reward (putting your own money up just so you don't have to answer to anyone can also put you in fukked up situations).
My only thing is that Dame talks a lot of shyt about unity, and wanting people to rise up and succeed, but is very dismissive if you don't follow his business model. I get it, you don't want to see the guys as "slaves" but some of these people working for other people make enough money to support their family many life times over and are ultimately able to retire and not have to work for anybody.
He is still pretty bitter about how it all went down, and he tries to mask it with overconfidence, bragging, and "giving advice" to the young dudes in the game. If kids take the advice and do something with it, great, but Dame also has to let people know that there are many ways to skin a cat, and if these kids are out there making money and able to support their families, than THAT IS A GOOD THING TOO.
I admire Dame a lot, and always want him to succeed, but he has gone on record(s) and given some really poor advice as well (talking about "popping tags for life" and other materialistic and careless purchases that could be interrupted a setting a shytty standard of what success is for young business men/women).

this is business. they saw a chance to make money off of kanye and they did and that's that dude don't owe none of them shyt. like beans and them said the roc (aside from the founders) was a bunch of business men fooling nikkaz with that family and crew shyt but kanye was smarter than that and saw it for what it was. that's why he went with J rather than dame, etc
good point :ehh:

SMH at Dame basically preaching ignorance. Let me get this straight...Biggs was part owner of a multi-million dollar record label, and as soon as it was over, he gores backwards to being a drug dealer? Despite all the money he made, all the connections he had to make, he goes back to being a drug dealer and all Dame can say publicly is he's mad at Kanye?:wtf:

How about coming out and saying"Yo, I'm real mad at my man Biggs right now. When you make it to where we made it, you not supposed to go back to doing that type of sh!t."

No, blame Kanye. Because he hasn't "reached out". Reached out and do what? And while you talkin about what Biggs did for Kanye, I'm SURE Biggs made a little money off of Kanye's success at Rocafella.

This niqqa Dame needs to shut the fukk up.

Kanye himself admitted that he felt like he betrayed Dame in that one MTV interview with sway back in the day after the ROC break-up. when he answered, you see the guilt in his face and hear it in his voice. as far as biggs, i don't know but kanye knows he fukked over dame, but at least he admitted it.

EDIT - here's the exact quote....

Sway: So Dame Dash pretty much put his stamp on you and validated you, in a sense. When the Roc-A-Fella team broke up recently, you chose to stick with Jay-Z. Why did you choose to stick with him when it seems that Dame was the one who supported you in the beginning? Do you think that's disloyal?

West: [He pauses.] Um, yeah.

Sway: You do think it's disloyal?

West: Yup. But you gotta make that decision. I felt like with the relationship that me and Jay built after I was on Roc-A-Fella, we had built a different type of relationship, it was a working musical relationship because of the production, and I built more like a business relationship with Dame because of all the ventures he wanted to involve me with. And not to be cliché, but it's like I was between a rock and a hard place. And it was just like if your parents were to divorce.

Very good salesman, but still a very good businessman.
Don't understand why people are so dismissive of Jay in this regard, Jay orchestrates many business deals, and yes does a great job of selling his brand, but he is not just a "pitch" guy.

Kanye wouldve always been somebody regardless.

Matter fact they let him rap a little because they were scared he was going to leave the label #facts

Rocafella didnt make him. Nor did even Jay-Z blow him.

He created his own lane and cultivated it.

im sorry.. the people sayin Kanye would of blown up regardless of the roc .. I gotta question ya age.. Through The Wire was Talib Kweli and Mos Def status, and thats exactly how Kanye career would be (not broke, but not where he is now) if it wasnt for the roc... He owes his career to dame/biggs

Man you crazy Kanye was never mos def/talib status, matter of fact he gave them careers and made them mainstream

only hit talib ever had was get by produced by Ye before he even was known as a rapper

people way older than dame use the term "pause"

not to mention, dame was one of the main people that popularized the term in the 1st place.
It's immature. I haven't heard anyone say that outside of Dame and Hibbert since the mid-'00s. We're adults, we know what you mean isnt gay
