:yeshrug: Its fukked up, but he is right though. He had his chance to be a starter for the full season, and he went back to his inconsistent ways and has been :trash: since the All Star break. :russ: Weren't dudes saying he was better than Harden for 2 months?

SMH @ Rick talking about some what he would do if he was in O.J.'s position.

Let's not forget, Rick Carlisle WAS in O.J.'s position. He WAS an NBA player. And he never amounted to shyt.

But this is just coach talk though, salty coach talk.

:what:Went to 3 Finals as a player, won 1 ring, and then won another in 2011 as a coach. Safe to say that Rick Carlisle achieved more as both a player AND a coach than OJ Mayo ever has or ever will.

Coli never ceases to amaze me. You guys pile it on Rick Carlisle as if we're NOT talking about OJ Mayo, a guy who's been underwhelming and without passion or drive his entire career. OJ Mayo comes up with one nice game for about 15 duds. Mike James has outperformed him ever since he was called up from the D-League...:childplease:

O.J. really ain't a SG in the NBA. Too small and slow. He's a combo guard who needs to be a PG even if he's not really a PG. Just the only position he can play effectively at this level but he needs to be consistent at this level regardless of position.

@coopmavs: Mavs 3-15 vs Top 5 in West. Mayo vs T5 10.6ppg 37.6%FG 19% 3pt (12-73

:mjpls:

  • At the 8:18 mark in the fourth quarter, O.J. Mayo entered the game with it tied 77-77. Over the next two minutes and fifteen seconds, Mayo missed a bad long three point attempt, committed a turnover, fouled a shooter, and committed another turnover, all while the Grizzlies built a six point lead which they would carry with them to the finish line. I’m convinced there’s a good, consistent basketball player inside Mayo, but his tendency to play his worst basketball when Dallas needs him most isn’t going to build a case towards keeping him (if he opts out of his reasonable contract, and he should). He wasn’t the lone reason Dallas lost this game, but posting a state line of two points on 1 of 6 shooting with four turnovers isn’t very helpful.
