1. If you're a business man, you don't have time to be going through books and details, accountants can hide money in various ways between balance sheets and p&l's.

2. You can pay for an internal auditor, which is the most logical thing to do - but at the time you've worked with someone for so long you rather not have to foot another bill (esp if you're paying someone $250K)
