nikkas is downplaying SHAQ in his prime? Yall saw the stats right. Shaq's production was inhuman.

The Lakers are a super talented team. They're failing because Kobe is a one dimensional player. He scores and plays defense but that's about it. If you put LeBron on that team they'd be beasting right now, simply due to LeBron flourishing when he has a bunch of talented shooters to pass to (or a big man to feed). Kobe can't do that shyt consistently.

Give kobe a pippen type of player who can create his own shot, average 18+, set up shots for the rest of the team and play elite defense, and kobe would of won championships just as well in those years.

You people who keep talking about shaq as if he carried kobe act like he couldn't win shyt without shaq. Shaq is a monster but he is replaceable if kobe had the same team template that jordan had.

Weren't Butler and Odom basically that? And they didn't even make the playoffs. I mean seriously nikkas act like 04-06 didn't happen.

The Jordan template has only worked once and that's what sets him apart from his perimeter peers. A lot of things had to come in to play for that to happen like that. Dominant big man with dominant perimeter guy or even just a great or good perimeter guy has worked numerous times.

Shaq didn't carry Kobe because he was a beast in his own right and certain played a big part in the titles however there is no denying that Shaq was the difference maker especially in a league devoid of big men and full of stars and superstars on their own.

sabonis was a beast. even back then. don't do that to them.

start them out with an average center like rik smits or shawn bradley and work your way up.

Its lookin' questionable on whether he'll resign in LA or not. Its only a matter of time until Kobe even turns on him
