Thank heavens I left Park Place two weeks ago. That was turning into a nightmare, now I live in a neighborhood with nothing but old folks. But I still live in Norfolk at the end of the day

Pretty much. This is why I say its calmed down now. I'll never forget being 9 years old, just going with my mom grocery shopping and ending up in the middle if a shootout right on my block. nikkas telling us to get back in the house but ma just said to keep our heads down because we had to eat.
I'll never forget another shootout causing a stray to hit the house I grew up in and go through the downstairs shower while I was downstairs doing whatever. Hole is still on the outside of the house to this day.
Still, I never get too comfortable around here. I'm just glad I don't hear about the shyt until the morning after now.

I was in Park Place last week and it looked way different. Granted we don't have All the facts I'm very concerned with the supposed "brothers" in this thread sounding like CACs with all this victim blaming. I'm currently employed full-time and in school but according to Coli logic I'm also a "THUG" because I like to smoke weed and listen to music in my car in my free time. Guess if somebody dump on me one day I deserve it too for being "in the streets"

. For the entire 9 months I was out there I talked to nobody, went to work, school, took my ass back home and stayed inside.
The whole Virginia be wilding to be honest...from the 7 cities God damn the burg/dopewell (I was stationed in Fort Lee and got some wild stories) I lived in Richmond Southside ...Highland Park Notorious boy...

Park Place/Lambert's Points Alumni..While Norfolk is gentrifying as a whole, parts of Norfolk still rough ass hell...especially at night. Congressman Eljiah Cummings nephew was murdered a few years ago over at ODU and police still haven't solved the case. Ditto for a Hampton University student last year at a house party over in Lambert's Point.
