that speed, that quickness, that athleticism. plus all the fundamentals that kept him in convo for best player in the league till he was 34. got dayum, prime Kobe was a different animal.

I don't think I've seen a better player in my life than kobe that season. and i been watching the nba consistenly since 1997. only prime shaq comes close. everyone else is fighting for 3rd place.

i've watched almost every game kobe's played in the last 10 years. i just forgot how much he fell off. i remember him being dominant in 2008-2010. but that version of kobe pales in comparison to 05-06. that is what i forgot. just how much better he was in his TRUE prime than the kobe we saw winning rings and mvps.

naw. did you see the way he was moving in that video? much more athelticism that year. plus remember who he had around him. smush, kwame, luke walton. he was getting no space in 2006. and still put up 35/5/5. i think if you transported 2006 kobe onto that 2008 team, they beat boston. even without bynum.
