How old are you Surf and at what age did you retire? And what did you put in motion so that you'd be able to retire early, what was the mindset and the follow through?

it wasn’t any great plan...as I told someone in another thread it was a mixture of persistence/obsession and plain old luck
someone on another forum introduced the board to crypto via XRP...some (like myself) where skeptical...others recognized the opportunity for what it was immediately
once I got over my skepticism and eventually realized what a few others did...I became obsessed w/ the market and bcuz it was a relatively small and “young” market (one that could be easily influenced and/or manipulated) I was able to observe patterns and invest in certain projects to my benefit (like any market there were legit investments and outright scams...I was able to do a decent job of distinguishing one from the other)
I think my age and me being burnt out from work played a factor in me doing my best to make this work...if I were younger I would’ve been even more skeptical than I was and dismissed it entirely
my skepticism still “hurt” me cuz I would’ve cleaned up ridiculously if I had grabbed the bull by the horns early on but that’s easy to say in hindsight...it was new to me @ the time and I had absolutely no idea/clues about the industry
I’m not “balling”...no “lambo” as detractors like to joke around and say but I can live modestly for a quite a while w/o having to worry about working...I do not miss having a job but @ 45 it is hard learning to reinvent myself and create some new purpose that’ll allow me to meaningfully occupy my time w/o having to work for someone else (for better or for worse I was largely “defined” by my job) so that’s the new challenge
