I had to learn a lot on the fly...the whole market was completely foreign to me...learning about it was very much a second job and I made a lot of early mistakes...fortunately I didn’t lose $$$ but left a lot of $$$ on the table based off of “rookie” mistakes (falling victim to greed/euphoria) but it helped a lot that there were a few trustworthy posters on that forum that grouped together and helped each other as well...that made a huge difference

I don't mean to be annoying, but what made you understand investing? I'm missing something and I feel like an idiot...

I’m no expert in “investing” or even qualified to give advice...I still wouldn’t say I “understand” it...I just learned the basics...find a project that was undervalued that I felt had potential...buy low and if/when the time came sell high...and as simple as that “formula” was I still fukked it up many times by being greedy and holding on to shyt for too long thinking it was gonna go higher or even worse buying high bcuz everybody else was and I was afraid of missing out thinking that the price would never be this “low” again (FOMO) lol

it was easier to invest in 2017 as everything became overvalued in that industry...it’s harder to do now that public sentiment is even more skeptical after the crypto bear market...I’m not even sure what I learned would serve me well in a traditional market so I don’t want to mislead you by giving generic investment advice

all I can say is I did a lot of reading and listening...ppl in the group would have discussions/share articles and links and I would just soak all that shyt up...the only reasonable advice I can offer is w/e market/industry it is you want to invest in...start to immerse yourself in that culture and find like minded ppl you can link/ build w/ ...if not close friends and family it could even be ppl on this forum that have a discord group or something to that effect...forums like these have a lot of trolls/jokers but @ the same time a lot of ppl who know their shyt and have a lot to offer

nah...CANNOT do it

always hated the concept of work aka the rat race

but did it w/ a positive attitude cuz I had no choice

so made the best of it

once I realized I could retire...I went to work once then didn’t go back for almost a month...eventually went back once I fully committed to retiring and gave 3 weeks notice...those 3 weeks were the worst...I called in sick 4x during that stretch...working for someone @ this point is not an option...I absolutely understand some ppl do it and why...and I actually admire them for being able to find solitude in that...but that shyt is not for me...not even part time...there’s nothing I like to do once it involves having to report to someone else

When I mean part time, I mean something small breh, like a hobby or something. Like fixing bikes, working at a bakery, opening a food stand, etc. None of that corporate America BS

I was gonna say you need To get a new gig but I know that feeling. I get up early and dress in nice clothes but then have to step outside in 30 degree or less weather to take the train, and then do another 10 minute walk in the cold:shaq2:At work I boogie on down, but the commute give me an unshakeable frown.
Train? You from NY?

Prices man...:francis: I need at least $1500... I was gonna see if I had enough from my tax return to get a lil hooptie...
You need to invest in a car..I rent cars every weekend. I got so many rewards points on Enterprise, I'm getting free days now. Just drove the 2020 Chevy Malibu last week...nice size flip for a tall cat. I like the zip on the 2019 Altima better though....I was going almost a 100mph for most of that 35 minute drive and it seems the Altima handles better on that front than the Malibu. Interesting grill on the Malibu too... Heated seats...remote start...once you get used to this stuff, you cant GO BACK TO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. I cant be around everyday filth...I have to have my space. My favorite vehicle over the last year is the 2019 Dodge Ram Hemi though....smooth, easy ass ride. Just floats on the fukking road...I love it.
