Couple more years and I can retire.

Im 37.

:banderas:

I'm 29 now, if I could retire in 10 years:ohlawd: I think 45 more realistic and that time you still got a gang of mobility, granted you eat right and stay healthy.

Marriage might ruin me, so I'll put that off till 60. I thought about kids, hopefully if I can find the right girl with the same mindset retiring should be fairly easy.

That Shift Premium (when I worked 3rd shift in 2003-05 was I think 1.25 extra per hour)
:blessed:

BUT

The hours:francis:

The sleep (or lack there of) :francis:
This right here is what keeps me on the night shift. Sleep is only a problem if you're still trying to lead a regular day life. I've been doing it for seven years straight, but i'm starting to get burnt out.

When I had this type of job/life, I didn't hate the work, I didn't hate the people, sometimes I loved it, being on the water, early in the morning in the summer, working on a mega yacht.

But, the time, was what got to me. I spent all my time at work, preparing for work, or the fall out from work, doing laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, there wasn't a lot left. I would lay awake at night and think this my time for myself, I can lay here and no one can tell me what to do or where to go, for these 30 minutes.
