On this single parameter, many Indians would surely fare worse than white Americans, as the former’s
almost spontaneous animus against Africans is no less vicious.

"We are all aware of the large-scale protests, some violent, that shook the United States soon after videos showing how white police officers mercilessly caused the death of a black man, George Floyd, in Minneapolis went viral. As ‘coloured’ people, our natural sympathies go to those oppressed by the white man, but we also realise that as long as the malaise of racial discrimination is not eradicated, its external manifestations are bound to recur. Colourism—which propagates an aversion towards those who do not look like us and are therefore ugly—is our enemy, not the police.

On this single parameter, many Indians would surely fare worse than white Americans, as the former’s almost spontaneous animus against Africans is no less vicious. Such openly racial behaviour by people who themselves are coloured and just a few shades fairer than their target is hardly ever witnessed in the rest of the world."

“Indian racism towards Black people is almost worse than white peoples’ racism”
An Interview with Arundhati Roy

DC: We see Indians trending #blacklivesmatter but in this very country we find continuous attacks on Blacks? How do Indians see Blacks or what stereotype do we Indians have of them?

"Look at the Indian obsession with fair skin. It is one of the most sickening things about us. If you watch Bollywood movies you’d imagine India was a country of white folks. Indian racism towards Black people is almost worse than white peoples’ racism. It’s unbelievable. I’ve seen it happen on the streets when I’ve been with Black friends. And sometimes it comes from people whose skin colour is really no different! Rarely have I been so enraged and ashamed. That racism has manifested in outright attacks. In 2014, soon after the Aam Aadmi Party won a massive mandate in the Delhi elections, the Law Minister Somnath Bharti led a group of people on a midnight raid, a group of Congolese and Ugandan women were physically attacked and humiliated in Khirki for being involved with “immoral and illegal activities”. In 2017 African students were attacked and beaten by a vigilante mob in Greater NOIDA, charged with selling drugs. But racism in India is vast and varied. Who can forget the BJP Member of Parliament Tarun Vijay’s defense of racism after the NOIDA attack— “If we were racist, why would the entire South — you know the Tamils, you know Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra — why do we live with them?” Why do they live with us? He should tell us black South Indian folks. I’d like to know his reasons."

Don't listen to brown skin lntellect. I used to be married to an indian woman. I can tell you first hand how many of her friends stopped fukking with her for being with a black dude was in the dozens. You how many black folks stopped fukking me with for being with an Indian? none. nobody gave a fukk. Indians are way more racist towards black people than we are towards them. The fact that an indian person is on here trying to lecture black folks about racism is fukking ridiculous to me. and like you pointed out, their obsession with fair skin should be a major red flag out the gate.

those people you see there are poor
to them it's like seeing a celebrity
it's not that she is white necessarily

You can't think of India as a country, it has to be looked at as a continent like africa.
You at one place in india and it's one type of culture, you drive an 2 hours to another place it's another culture
you drive 3 hours to another place it's another culture and another language

this VERY same thing like people of that country flocking towards the foreigners
you can see this SAME thing with many arabs being visited by U.S. military MEN
they are poor, this ain't necessarily thirsting

Also probably you all LOL'ed at the second video when she panned to the people behind her while at the beach.
Pause it, pause when she pans at them
you will see kids as well, are they thirsting too?

If you are against racism then...............don't be a racist
But if you are only against racism against you, then you are no different from your opposition.
you just another side of their coin

GTFOH :mjlol:
You know Indians and Asian worship crackas

If that was a black woman they wouldnt be acting like wild animals :stopitslime:

Many indians aren't into interracial because they want to preserve culture within the family.
I myself have a jamaican friend who lost a few of his black friends beause he with a pawg.
Lupe Fiasco himself have admitted to losing friends because of what he was saying about Obama
It can be racism sometimes, but don't paint such a wide brush
many ethnicities wants them to marry within the culture, you must know this.
Anyhow perhaps since you were married to an indian makes this personal to you so you may have a different perspective.

I don't know how prevalent lightening cream is, but i also don't give af
white people like to get a tan
some brown and black people use lightening creams
I don't see that much ethical logic in the condemnation of lightening creams, it feels like it's fake woke militants just complaining about something else like hating on Doja Cat or Charlemange for using lightening cream on twitter.
If we don't care about girls putting red lipstick on they why lightening creams? Maybe i'm wrong, perhaps it's something I didnt' think about yet.

And to your other point that I am here talking about racism, see my stance is the difference between simply not being a racist vs being anti-racist.
if you make a decision of being anti-racist then guess what? You can't pick and choose.
This is what you call consistency.

First i'm going to need you to define what you THINK racism is and means. Secondly India literally has a caste system, specifically instituted when the Dravidians outsted the autocthnous people and set it up to build a social and economical oppressive system. Does that make all Indian racist? No, but its difficult for them not to be, simply for the fact they have a culture and tradition which revolves around it. I'm personally known people with Indian backgrounds, that was pretty cool with me, but that doesn't discount the fact that India as a society is modeled after a form of supremacy and racism. You as a individual can overcome a environment like that, or not be affected by it, but for most people it is VERY difficult.
