No you dumb ass Hip Hop really blew in the 90's so when I was growing up R&B was the choice among black households with the older folksand nikkas try to discredit the best era in our genre for no reason you don't even have one?
Why you bring up the Fat Boys and Whodini? No one was shytting on Rakim LL Run Dmc Krs Nwa stop bruh why the fukk would anyone even say you sleeping on the Fat Boys
You comparing them too Snoop and Jay please say your are
But if you must know stupito I only made the comparison cause it's a 20 year difference![]()
Rap is a young man's game.
as fukk. If young people are tired of all the complaining they can go start their own shyt. I won't mind one bit.All that other shyt is irrelevant nikkaNo, it's not. It's been around for close to 40 years, what other genre of music in history can you name that's been around 4 decades with minimal changes, that young people try to claim as their own?
It doesn't happen. Every generation except the current one had their own shyt.
60's had doo wop, Motown and psychedelic rock....70's had disco, soul, funk and classic rock....80's and 90's had hip-hop and contemporary R&B....and then there's a big ass gap because young people are trying to claim a genre that started in the late 70's.
Not only trying to claim it....actually upset that the original generation is still active in it and has an opinion. shyt isas fukk.
Fred.
You are right and he's wrong. All that other shyt is irrelevant nikka
Ion give a shyt about no other genres. We talking bout rap lets keep it about rap. You know youse a damn lie if you think rap is not a young man's game. Nobody upset that old nikkas are around, they've made their place and they deserve to rest on the laurels a lil. But rap has never been about placing the previous generation above the new one. How do you think genre's progress? Besides rap respects quality above all else, Nas is old but he still nice, hence why Life is Good sold 150k first week

This is so fukking stupid and off base. All that other shyt is irrelevant nikka

It ain't got shyt to do with other genres. It has to do with every generation having their own thing. This generation doesn't, because they're trying to latch onto something from 40 years ago.
How has the shyt progressed? There is no modern equivalent of an Outkast, or Jay, Pac, or Nas. If this is a young man's game, where is this generation's Nas? Where is the dude dropping equivalent shyt, at 17?
Nas is still Nas. The current biggest rapper in the game don't even write his own shyt. Half the rappers in this "young man's game" The Booth talks about are either close to 30, over 30, or damn near 40.
Hell, never mind quality, because that's subjective. Is this generation better, from a standpoint of diversity? fukk no. Back in the day you had Snoop, BONE, Wu, and Outkast all on top of the game. Hell, you had multiple rappers from a single region that sounded nothing alike.
Explain to me how it's progressed from the 90's, with a straight face.
Fred.

This is so fukking stupid and off base.
Rap is dictated by young people. Always has been and always will be.
at you using Young Thug as an example when his last project got out sold by a Wu-Tang Clan album. But yeah....young man's game.Son acting like they was bumping BDP in 95This is so fukking stupid and off base.

I thought we were having a serious convo. Just another old nikka shouting at grass for not being as good as it was in the 90s. Just so you aint still taking that bullshyt. Lupe came out in 06 and been killing it ever since. K.dot got classics on deck. Isaiah Rashad coming for the crown. fukk what you talking bout old nikka
Why are you focused on age? Thats irrelevant no one is concerned with the age of rappers outside of the nerds on sites like theseThe only thing young people do is consume it and create slang that lasts two weeks. Just because Clear Channel and Viacom told you you're the center of attention don't make it so.
Your generation doesn't have a Jay-Z or a Pac. Ye is the same age as me. Kendrick Lamar and Drake are pushing 30.
And I'mat you using Young Thug as an example when his last project got out sold by a Wu-Tang Clan album. But yeah....young man's game.
Fred.
Just to reiterate when "young man's game" is mentioned it refers to how long we have been hearing from a rapper no how old they are.Lupe is 33 or 34. I'm a fan of Kendrick, but he's pushing 30. So is Drake. I won't even get into Ross or Ye, who are the same age or older than me.
I will check out Isaiah Rashad, but he's literally the only rapper mentioned so far from the age bracket I'm talking about.
Kinda confused how this is a young man's game when 90% of the rappers being mentioned are touching 30, or older.
Fred.
Breh, the dudes who's hot in the screets right now are our age. That's all that matters. In 95 Nas and B.I.G. were young and they was whats hot in the screets. Migos and Chief Keef have influenced the culture more than Jay Z has in the last 5 years and thats facts breh brehLupe is 33 or 34. I'm a fan of Kendrick, but he's pushing 30. So is Drake.
