I can do pineapple on Pizza. I thought it would be terrible but the 1st time I tried it I kinda liked it. It's not a go to but I won't turn my nose up at it. But anchovies???.......gtfoh!!!

I can read the room and see the coli has rendered judgment on anchovies but I love them ( also happen to be what most might say is a nerd so u got that right )


Have 2-3 friends I know who are also anchovy aficionados and when we get together to make a pizza, I know its going to be lit and fragrant (garlic, sausage, onions & anchovies )


That's not a pizza for the weak, difficulty for most would be 'high'

Sun dried tomatoes, feta cheese, spinach

Salmon is delicious by itself when cooked right. I prefer to bake then pan sear to brown and dry it out a bit to make it more flakey

Fish on a pizza just seems problematic.....but I have seen some Black-owned spots with catfish & spaghetti.

Had some chicken tikka masala pizza in both Houston and Dallas and shyt was .....so some Creole/Cajun pizza could work.

Gonna need my Tri-State brehs to work together with the Chicago brehs and Louisiana brehs. For the culture.

yeah i dont mess with canned anchovies but i keep anchovy paste. you dont need much.

if you like marinara sauce, you like anchovy paste.

but yes eating them whole on a pizza is nasty. might as well drink a glass of salt and oil with it

humans have used oily fish for many things for a million years. its thought that humans figured out capillary action through impaling dried fish on sticks that they would light on fire. the heat made the oil from the fish liquefy and seep into the wood, which is how we discovered how to make candles eventually. meat candles* have basically been made extinct post industrial revolution but for pretty much all recorded history anyone not wealthy or involved in religion werent allowed to use beeswax candles. not that any of this is relevant, i just learned this a while back and never had a use for the info
