Do young West Coast rappers rap over g-funk beats? No.

Do young Midwest rappers tongue twist rap? No.

So why should young NY rappers make boom bap rap when it’s before their time and opposite to their realities and sensibilities :mjlol:

Why should they make boom bap when drill is getting them signed and it’s what they like to hear:mjlol:

West Coast rappers sound like they're from the West. There's obvious elements in their music that is a distinct West Coast sound.

The New NY rappers just done give a fukk about regional bias

There’s obvious elements in the music of new NY rappers that is a distinct new NY sound in the rap style and production y’all choose not to hear it for whatever reason

I don’t even know of any new-ish buzzing West Coast rappers who are they, are their as many and are they doing comparable streams and views to NY drill rappers

That’s because it’s basically NY lingo over Chicago/London drill or ATL trap beats.

That’s not a distinct new sound. That’s called biting.

G funk elevated to that G Perico style flow that both originated in the Westcoast

Tounge twist rap elevated to drill and both originated in Chicago/Midwest

The south started off with that southern play/crunk music and that elevated to trap, both originated in the south.

NY nikkas had boom nap and that turned into a mix between down south and Chicago/London drill.

NY is the only region that use a sound it didn’t originate initially.
