So you're saying that Bo Jackson would have worse run blocking in this era so big games would be even harder. My point is, these guys today aren't downhill blockers. They are big pass blockers.

You walked right into that one.

I honestly don't care how much stat geeking you do. Myself having a taste of being dominant at the position, I know its a symphony being an RB knowing who is going to do what at a certain situation, how they move people and different things. Bo came in fresh with no pre-season, no camp snaps, zero.So you're saying that Bo Jackson would have worse run blocking in this era so big games would be even harder.

I don't about that much but he'd easily have multiple 2000 yard seasons.
You ain't getting it with this stat loving. You really aren't.

You can go stat geek all you want, but nothing you say will understand why it's necessary to have that and why it made Bo remarkable. He gets a camp in with a guy, that run where he just plows into a crowd turns into a slower pace where he allows things to develop because he knows the rhythm of his line.
You can't deconstruct any of this. He did that fresh off another sport. It's remarkable.

bro they cant even handle derrick henry
thats how hard he was runnin...ran so hard kevin walker was holdin on...bo crazy ass was tryin 2 run thru him ...horse mentality0
Wait what? You know he got hurt on a freak injury right what the hell are you talking about?
Of course you’re talking stats. Im speaking theory and what comes with the position. No one has ever said that Bo ain't remarkable, but literally everyone in the thread is talking about his STATS. The thread is a stat thread, dumbass.
You want to make claims about his stats only no one should be allowed to bring his stats into the conversation.
And I called you out for claiming that run blocking is worse in this era, which kills your whole point, but you dodged that shyt to run to the stat geek excuse.![]()

I don't think he literally meant 350-400 .....
but you got plenty of posters saying with the right "OL/offense" he could 200-250( that's fukking 3200-4000 yards for the season)
and some of ya'll are dead serious![]()
. It would be easy work for # 20 in todays game. Bo aint Barry tho
No he wouldn't. Barry Sanders is overrated as fucck, He'd also probably be benched for his penchant to lose yardsBarry would've averaged over 150 with Emmit's line/system, back then. It would be easy work for # 20 in todays game. Bo aint Barry tho

Literally everyone in the thread was talking stats long before I stepped into it. Talk about the subject and not about other men you ain't never even met.Of course you’re talking stats. Im speaking theory and what comes with the position.
Its clear in your doofus stat loving you know zero about the cadence that comes with the position. Who expects gaudy numbers for a dude who stepped out of a baseball uniform. That stat clown empty of what comes with being dominant at the position.
This isnt a “stat” thread, its a he would be dominant as fukk and gave an over the top example of stats to declare his top dog status as one of the premier athletes to have ever player the position.
fukk outta here with it being a stat thread. Hes speaking on his dominance.
I love Derrick Henry, but he isnt nearly as talented or as good a back as Bo Jackson was. And its not even close

This is going in top 10 worst/ dumbest things ever said in a sports threadNo he wouldn't. Barry Sanders is overrated as fucck, He'd also probably be benched for his penchant to lose yards
What's worse yet is that according to NFL Films (as of 2012) Barry actually holds the record for most yards lost by a running back in a career with 1,114 yards. Truth hurtsThis is going in top 10 worst/ dumbest things ever said in a sports thread
And he was never once benched for losing yardage. Not to mention that the majority of his lost yards were due to blown assignments by offensive lineman ( I own all his games on DVD and can tell you this with strong confidence). If he had that mammoth Cowboys line from the Emmitt Smith era, he would not have to worry about defensive lineman or linebackers meeting him in the back field the moment he received the ball. Walter Payton is second all-time in lost yardage. Do you believe that he was overrated and also would get benched for losing yardage? Marshall Faulk lost yardage on a higher percentage of carries than Barry when he was on the Colts. What do Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, and Marshall Faulk on the Colts have in common: they all had weak offensive lines. Barry Sanders lost about 7 yards per game. Despite this, he still was able to average 100 yards per game (107 yards before you take away the lost yardage), 5 yards per carry and 1527 yards per season. If anything this makes him look more amazing as a player. An average game for Barry was 20 carries for 100 yards (5 yards per carry). The breakdown is as follows:What's worse yet is that according to NFL Films (as of 2012) Barry actually holds the record for most yards lost by a running back in a career with 1,114 yards. Truth hurts
