Broaden it. Ask yourself how a player can come midseason, not even wearing shoulder pads over the course of camp and can be plopped onto the field with some of the world's greatest athletes and still have dominant games.
Only going by the numbers are geeks. Football is a game where repetition, knowing who your lineman's cadence and way of blocking are developed over the course of camp and early in the season. It's as if you can't get past the numbers.
Going solely by numbers doesn't work for Bo by way of so much he didn't have on his side coming into the season.
This is where I feel that folks who've never played at a high level don't understand how football operates.
