Well i did, and aint a damn thing wrong with me. Growing up i saw it as a time to have fun with my fam of the same age, getting candy and play with others on the block. Didnt give me a false sense of entitlement, didnt do none of that. Tbh those were some of my first interactions with my white neighbors (my block used to be integrated; now its all black) and i see ot as no different than popping fireworks on the fourth, taking mlk day off, and getting christmas presents
Well growing up I had fun with my fam and neighbors all the time, had plenty of candy and all of that. I knew all of my neighbors anyway because we were neighborly with each other. There were plenty of opportunities for me to do that without trying to hit them up for candy October 31st.
And maybe you do have a false sense of entitlement if you think people aren't doing a good enough job of giving your daughter candy...
