Lol who says u gotta be loyal to a rapper, its just music.. LOL

Theres a difference between a fan and a groupie.. when your music isn't good anymore a Fan admits it, but a groupie will always remember the times yall had together, even if yall was never together lol

Yes I'm a fan of a few but I stan for one man.

Stans will outweigh the good and bad, and will convince themselves the music is good when its really not lol because of the history they shared.

Kendrick has no longevity, no star power, nothing that makes him a memorable artist who will command attention from the hip hop masses for years to come.
How do we predict this less than a year after his first album came out and went plat?

This isn't someone that had one big single that was on some one hit wonder shyt.

U cant rlly blame it on the music

If takeover or ether were to come out in the age of information instead of back then..we would forget about it in a few weeks

Why do u think we call many shows, songs, and sht from back in the day classics...

Because the rate at which we were able to consume and experience these works of entertainment allowed for longevity

This rapid age of information doesnt allow that :manny:

this n!gga just called 2001 the stone age, lol.

Had a high speed cable modem (before Comcast got crazy congested and started throttling brothas), Napster and Morpheus to DL music, and started posting on SOHH cause i found it by researching the jay-z and Nas Beef using Google, hahaha.

eh, I could care less who cares about Budden, Ortiz, Lupe, Cass, Pap, etc.
But I think the weird thing is when you look at the time frame between the diss tracks/freestyles in 2001. People were several hours to 2 days out calling people scared, calling everything irrelevant or whatever. Nothing bubbles anymore. The convo never gets as intense because in the back of your head, you know for 90% of people, it'll be over in a few days. That or they need somebody everybody else cares about to care.

The way the internet reacted last week, you would've thought we would still be talking about it today. Clearly the record is forgotten , and will not stand the test of time. Also all the rappers who were mentioned will dust it off like nothing and Kendrick wont really address it again. Stupid generation for hiphop

Remember when Jay-Z Takeover dropped.? We pretty much talked about that for a couple of years. Kendrick verse is just not memorable and easily forgotten!!
The verse wasn't even a diss...

It's forgotten because the drakes and the young money's of the world and there fans can't comprehend real hip-hop lyrics and can't say shyt about young Kendrick. baby and Wayne know they still have to get that cali money and they don't want to end up like 40 glocc on these cali streets

That shyt stopped Fab's response...Im pretty sure it's some of the reason the more popular rappers he called out didnt respond yet...

You could well be right, I just mean thankfually SOMEONE replied or it would of been a problem. At least some real uncontrolled people are out there somewhere, even if there underground.

SINY!!
Of course it died out.....all the responses on top of the original track kinda made people numb to all of it. No one is going to care what K. Dot said, and no one is going to care about the responses.....the next time it will probably be addressed again by anyone is when the next TDE release drops.
