Why would you say that out loud@PS5 was right!?
Why even bother? They need this today to distract from other news.
MSFT is just using funny wording to attract console warriors.
PS5 is based off of RDNA 2 but it has it's own customizations therefore it is not 1:1 RNDA2 that AMD has on PC for example. It has nothing to do with lacking features.
For example since Direct Storage is something Microsoft has working, Sony would have something custom for their platform hence why MSFT is saying "Full RDNA2" since Direct Storage is on PC as well. Falling for MSFT's word trickery again I see.
You just wanted to stan and make a thread meanwhile claiming you don't come here due to misinformation![]()
Why would you say that out loud![]()
Doesn't change the fact that he was right.Oh god, another Tom Warren tweet.
Can you stans realize what you're posting before stanning? "Full RDNA2" doesn't mean anything, Sony's RNDA 2 is customized for the PS5. What Xbox and PC is doing Sony does different for their platform hence it's no longer vanilla RNDA 2 but custom.
PS5 doesn't use 'Direct X Ray tracing' yet you clearly see ray tracing in several games on PS5. MSFT has Direct Storage yet PS5 doesn't because they have their own custom engineered solution so therefore MSFT can claim they're the "Only console with Full RDNA2".
Only the uninformed would think this means anything.
Doesn't change the fact that the implication is not having "Full RDNA2" is somehow a negative. It's a half truth. People think 'Full' means one is lacking solutions that the other has. It's a stealthy deceptive talking point. You guys kept saying for months PS5 is "not RDNA2" and we said it is RDNA 2 technically.Doesn't change the fact that he was right.
Custom RDNA is cool, but for months the topic was, "is it full rdna2" and Stan's swore up and down it was until later when they said it was custom.

Custom ≠ Full.
By definition alone they can't be equal terms.
Xbox consoles for the next gen have Sampler Feedback Streaming, that is a Xbox hardware exclusive feature.
Anyways, this is from a Digital Foundry person raising these concerns.
