Damn that new Drake song flopped off the charts. Did Kendrick really end his career?

Drake is relatively blackballed from having any positive mainstream or corporate owned media coverage while the lawsuit with Universal is pending. Also radio is purposely not playing his latest records which contribute heavily to billboard chart positioning.

Not surprised by the numbers based on that. Also, I think the ICEMAN rollout is a bit too cryptic and narrative driven for the average casual listener to connect with, as it’s a departure from his normal branding / image.

However, I think his actual fans are more excited about him than ever. Corporate media overplayed their hand a bit with hate-campaigns. Once the Super Bowl, DNC, Oscars and Kraft-Heintz are picking sides in rap-beef for marketing, even regular folks can start to see through the kayfabe a bit.

Lmao the coping.

He’s not blackballed.

His songs suck ass.

There’s no grand conspiracy. People are free to stream the songs and after the first few listens it’s clear they aren’t.

Also, if this is what it looks like when he’s no longer backed by the machine, that means the machine is responsible for all his inflated numbers and absurd playlisting, which means his career isn’t organic in the first place.
