The thing is his music has been going in this direction for years now, even before the beef. His music since Views has become progressively more moody and paranoid. Most of the songs are about people who did him wrong and how lonely it is at the top. Bro sounds miserable. The L to Kendrick is just going to amplify all that.

Drake is a legacy act at this point. Outside of his core fan base, most people only listen to his old shyt. His new music doesnt have replay value like that. It's good for him he has a large catalog, which keeps himself as most streamed, but most fans don't care about the new music.
It's hard to definitively conclude that tho cause Drake hasn't been consistently dropping the same caliber (as far as catchiness, quality is subjective and debateable) of music since the beef. If he was dropping more songs like Nokia or Rich Flex consistently, he would still be just as popular with the masses. Seems like he's holding off on his best stuff until the Universal lawsuit is resolved, hence Nokia dropping on PND's project.
