Damn that new Drake song flopped off the charts. Did Kendrick really end his career?

Now that drakes run is over what are you going to do? :lupe:
Continue listening his music just like I started to back during the SOHH days :yeshrug:

When him, Curren$y (technically the first YMCMB signee), Cole, Kendrick, Wiz, and Cudi all had their initial mixtapes and singles posted to Nah Right, Dat PIff, etc.

Can't imagine letting opinions on a forum bully me out of listening to any artist I enjoy.
I don't actually care about chart positions at all as long as the music from the artists I enjoy is fire.

It's cool to not enjoy his music, but y'all literally post more about him than those that do as though it's morally righteous when it's just bad-faith dap-fishing.

Drake is relatively blackballed from having any positive mainstream or corporate owned media coverage while the lawsuit with Universal is pending. Also radio is purposely not playing his latest records which contribute heavily to billboard chart positioning.

Not surprised by the numbers based on that. Also, I think the ICEMAN rollout is a bit too cryptic and narrative driven for the average casual listener to connect with, as it’s a departure from his normal branding / image.

However, I think his actual fans are more excited about him than ever. Corporate media overplayed their hand a bit with hate-campaigns. Once the Super Bowl, DNC, Oscars and Kraft-Heintz are picking sides in rap-beef for marketing, even regular folks can start to see through the kayfabe a bit.

All Drake had to do was put out the whole album and let the fans decide which tracks get energy put behind them, why is he still trying to fish for singles in 2025 when everyone else is just dropping?

Sales don't influence the way I receive or enjoy music; Drake's included since I was fan back during his mixtape era.

That new Metro project is one of my favorite releases of the year for the nostalgia '08-'09 ATL vibes it brought and it just flopped.

Couldn't care less what numbers it did because I respect what he did for the culture by dropping it and trying to bring that sound back to forefront even if it's for a niche audience.

Don't care about his involvement in the Kendrick beef either as I've always respected him as a producer and will continue check for his music.

Life's more fun when you enjoy and listen to whatever you like. Outside of Drake I mostly bump Bino Rideaux, Curren$y, Larry June, Premo Rice, and Nipsey none of which have probably ever charted.

Thanks for letting me know!

Any updates on you and you defending fantato treyvon posts? or you dapping up anti black trump supporters?

This song can flip but at least I wasn't supporting noted pedophiles and anti black trump supporters.

Drake lost and I've still never been down that bad.

Find a post of me defending that fakkit fantano or Trump you weirdo:mjlol:. Your deflection tactics will never change the fact that Drake is washed :blessed:

Now explain to me why you support a rapper who did this

He's always done that. He releases 2-3 packs and sees if a song blows up or not. Scary Hours 1 and 2 for instance. The problem since the beef is that none of the tracks have really blown up besides Nokia on the Party album.

Do I think that Drake thought What Did I Miss or the Cee track would be hits? Honestly no. But they didn't even make a mark. Remember when the first Scary Hours dropped and God's Plan was the smash on there but the streets were bumping Diplomatic Immunity? Or Wants & Needs on the second Scary Hours...I think that's what he's trying to get and it's not working.

I supposedly deflected over a rap beef.

You actually deflected over a white guy laughing at memes of trayvon martin dying because he dislikes the same rapper you do.

That's the point :why: he needs to move on.

A 2-3 pack isn't a project it's literally fishing for a single while trying not to look desperate, it's always been that since the beginning.

In 2025 no one is interested in being told what song to focus on for a project, the music game have evolved since when he first entered it, you saying "he's always done that" is my point, he's stuck in an old mindset and it's not resonating with younger people as much anymore.

I know he's around smart people who have been telling him what he's doing wrong and he simply isn't listening :yeshrug:

even the "personal radio station" schtick got played out because artists were only doing it for their rollout then completely ditching it. That was and late 2010's-early 2020's move.

This is how it looks when someone overthinks their process instead of getting with the times and letting the people tell you what they want
