If you knew you could potentially go away for life and you had 3 full days before you turned yourself in, what would you do over them three days?
I knew I could go away for 20-25 years. I ran 10 hours away and went and got a quick job to try to make up some money for the sit down. I'd retained a lawyer already and kicked out most of my savings for the retainer + whatever that next fee is...
I was on the run 11 days, the plan was I was gonna turn myself in after 4th of July in The Bronx. I'd been in constant contact with my lawyer, who was in constant contact with the detectives and the DA, and it was at my lawyer's advice that I would turn myself in. He was like "sooner than later", and I believe I told him I'd be back in July, it just didn't work out that way. Only made it to June 26...
Those hours and days go fast though...
