Barkley is lying. In '99 he was still a 16/12/5 guy he went to Houston and teamed up with Scottie and Olajuwon specifically to win. .

That fakkit Pippen was the one that teamed up with Hakeem & Chuck. I had to correct you on that.

If winning is a given by you going there, isn’t that considered putting a team over the top which is kinda the goal?

These arguments are ridiculous and I’m glad they don’t stray too far off basketball. At the rate this is heading we’re gonna start lobbying for only 4 or 5 guys on a roster to actually get credit for a ring.
I mean I know you're smart enough to tell the difference between when a player is just putting a team over the top and when it's just overkill. There's a difference between making a team a championship favorite and making a team a complete championship lock.

I’ve never heard management or fans go “that’s too much talent, we wanna struggle at times:whoa:

And the funny thing is if you ask people on this forum would they sit on a team with no help and a incompetent FO

And let them kill their youth they will never tell the truth

Not everyone gets to the lakers or spurs

You could end up on the damn hornets or cavs right now

Some teams are smart some just want to sell merchandise

I agree with this
It is amazing how much winning overrates certain players and underrates others
Look at Draymond Green :mjlol:
A glorified role player yet some people had him as a top 15 player during their championship run:mjlol:
In the end you have role players like Robert Horry, a role player who was always on the right team, right spot, at the right time, flexing on all time great talents like TMAC with his rings, as if he was a major contributing factor :mjlol:
Sometimes great players are on shyt teams
Draymond was actually compared to Barkley. He was compared to BARKLEY, and his retort was about championships. Fukk outta here! Draymond is ONLY in that conversation because of rings. Triple single ass.

Nah I'm not gonna let you talk like that about Draymond

Yes he is in the PERFECT situation

But he could play back then but somehow he seems slower

Kinda like how kendrick perkings went from good to downright awful in a off-season

I still cant explain how bad he looks over one summer

Honorable thing to do. Honestly, the rest of the GSW squad should come out and do the same thing. The first one was against injury ridden teams. That ain't greatness. Last 2 with KD was just cheating and even then it took a CP3 injury one year. They all have 0 respectable rings if you really look at it. Rings have become overrated because it was part of MJ's story of greatness. But these other guys ain't great like MJ was.

Salute Matt Barnes. :salute:

f*ck a MJ

the bulls aint beat nobody.

they were the only stacked team in the midst of the expansion era. never even had to go thru the likes of the rockets or even the spurs in the finals.

Barkley is bullshytting, he was still a very good player when he went to Houston and I’m sure he would have cherished that ring if they had won in 97’. Back when he was friends with MJ, MJ would always rip him on not winning a title. During the 92’ Olympics, he once sat a table with Jordan and Magic and they said “sorry Charles, you can’t sit here, this is a ring table”.

Like Barkley would later on respond with “ahh my title in Houston didn’t count”.

It’s the Bulls fault the Rockets didn’t make the playoffs in 92 and couldn’t make it to the finals in other years:mjgrin:

No such thing as a championship lock imo. Even the 3peat Lakers got taken to 7. KD Warriors almost got beat by the rockets. 2011 Heat, etc

The Last Dance Affect :ahh:
"We are not worthy!"

With TMAC on the Spurs I get it.....With Chuck on the Rockets - he's LYING, but I get it. Matt is just hype off watching The Last Dance. He was always a cog in the wheel...Just more clicks for the podcast.

Nah, Barnes has been saying that since he started his podcast. Journalists just now picked up on it.

unless a mf just choke like bron in 2011 or key players are injured there is a such thing as a championship lock. And mia bench was so weak that could be Argued if they was a lock or not. But that’s why it’s a 7 game series the best team should win 99% of the time. Nobody was beating them warriors in 7 and nobody did.

Lets be real. Barring injury, we knew for an absolute fact the Heat and the Warriors would win a championship.
