I remember being blown away by the Panasonic 3DO demo booth in Montgomery Ward

remembers in the mid 90's I was blown away by the WebTV set-up in Montgomery Wards. Seeing NBA.com on there was so cool at the time

The zip drive's reign was so short because it was basically a bigger floppy disk, and very few PCs had the drive built in. Add in the fact that CD-RWs were more portable, and USB was being improved every year....zip got the face and was viewed as holmesian after a while.....I mean just look at it:

At one point in college, you were BOSS if you had a zip disk/drive.

In some of my non-tech classes, I'd be the only one w/ a zip drive and other ppl had multiple floppies or had to email stuff to themselves

I'd be quickly saving huge files lookin at other kids like

Nooooo not the zip drives! The transition from floppy to zip drives makes you realize how flabby technology was at the time because everyone who could use a zip drive swore it was a come up

The flash drives came out and shut it down. Still I remember paying $30 for a GB of storage in 07, and now you can prolly get 10 for that price

I remember playing oregon trail in computer class and being hype, I remember getting a calculator watch and feeling like a tech genius.


Watching Saturday morning cartoons use to be the best thing about the week, once the afternoon hit I use to try and get my mom to drop me off at the mall and spend all day going from store to store playing the demo systems like SNES and playstation after running out of money in the arcade.

Looney Tunes on TNT, 6-8am & pm was the golden age of cartooning for me

nikkas really don't use a Mouse NO MORE??!!!! Even if I had Laptop instead of a Desktop, I'd still use a Mouse when I'm at home. A mouse is just much more efficient & effective.

I had to unplug the family printer to use it...no usb back on the 486

You'd have to reboot the entire system just to get the pad to connect. The idea of "Plug N Play" didnt exsit
