I'd like to see a teacher go teach in one city, then fly across the country to teach in another city.. then fly out to another city, teach a class... i bet you start hearing complaints about jet lag... This argument is stupid. He plays a sport professionally. That alone is taxing on the body, not to mention the travel and other obligations he has. If he needs or wants to rest a game, fukk it, rest.

teachers have it easy, fck all this they work,i would say a majority of them do not care about that they do and view it as a hustle.I have a sister whos a teacher, they get timeoff more than any other occupation....horrible comparison.

I definitely agree with you guys that comparing athletes to people with regular jobs doesn't make sense. People with regular jobs take days off and need rest too. Plus teachers have summers off smh

Yeah and the NBA is unique in that a game, especially with the Cavs, is marquee because of LeBron. It ain't a marquee game without him. And I'd argue that that would be unethical to keep that pricing if he was taking off, and people would be mindless to pay it. In fact, they wouldn't

I just don't think there's a fix. The people who are really screwed are the ones paying secondary market but its a contest. There are no guarantees of a good or interesting game, just that the two teams will play.

Lakers games were crazy expensive because of Kobe and he didn't even make an appearance at half the games I went to. That didn't matter to me, except that those fukkers won every single time without him :mjcry:

teachers shouldnt be treated as a special interest group. They have too much lobbying power as it is...

Yeah people really need to stop throwing teaching out there like it's a backbreaking job with no pay or benefits.

Teachers who are really good may be underpaid but there are tons who go through the motions, have shorter work weeks than most of us, have more time off than almost all of us, and the pay is not bad at all when you break it down to how many hours they actually worked. Plus they will get their full salary even after they retire.

Government workers eat. Strong unions, great pay, great job security, etc. If a regular employee performs poorly, they're gone. If a teacher performs poorly, their school might seek a transfer but straight up firing them is next to impossible.

Whoever it's "on" doesn't matter to me. If it's the league, then ok the league should fix it. But you're right, no one gives a fukk about ordinary people and that saddens me

Well it should, if you are truly interested in addressing the issue that is. Cursing out a cashier or even a manager isn't gonna change Walmart policy or the way in which those employees respond to said policy.

:mjlol: at the league getting half a bar while Bron and Cavs got an entire discography devoted to them by you in this thread.

If you're actually trying to do a good job, teaching is really hard work. Especially if it's not a good school or the kids have tough lives.

Of course, you can be a teacher and not try to do a good job, and it's a lot easier.

But the quotes in the OP are dumb as hell. Lebron has played more games in the last 6 years than any other player in any 6-year stretch in NBA history, and he's been playing heavy minutes while being the focus of the offense AND defense he entire time. And carrying 260+ pounds. Of course he needs to pace himself.

One of the few jobs you dont need any experience or honest training to do it effectively, you just need to be able to control a classroom of children...the curriculums basically teach themselves they just need an adult to be present...teachers from i have seen have to easy and theres almost no accountability if they do a terrible job...theyre protected by the school board and union...

As long as you aint trying to fuk Lil johnny you cant get fired...
