There's a difference between popularity and recognisability, yall. To be popular, you have to be liked. DB is more beloved, thus he is more popular. Maybe cena is more recognizable, who knows, but that's not the argument.

Sad that this has to be explained to grown adults.

At the height of the Yes! movement, was Daniel Bryan on late night? No. Was Daniel Bryan getting movie offers? No.

If Cena retired next year and had a "retirement event", it would make more news than Bryan's. Guarantee you.

Also, comparing a guy's popularity on the night of his retirement to an entire career is stupid. Is Edge more popular than Cena because his retirement was a big event?

First, Cena hasn't main evented enough Manias. Then he was at his peak in 2005, when he didn't main event Mania. Now, Batista was more popular than Cena during Cena's supposed "peak."
