sometimes you just unlucky too. shyt happens.

But not enough people are talking about the fact it was a game tying field goal, they making it seem like a game winning FG.

Let's say they score the FG and then Pat walks down the field and sets up the score and the Bills still lose. Then what?
Then narrative should switch to how the defense didn’t do their part to take the game to overtime when the offense held their end of the bargain.

Josh Allen did not lose that game yest

He didn't drop the bomb or shank the FG...and most importantly, he didn't turn the ball over

And like I keep telling anyone...when was the last time in NFL history that a road team had a 2 day rest advantage

His mistake was on that 2nd & 9 from the 26...he should've just took the easy completion to Diggs on the drag

Maholmes either would have hit that pass or complete the underneath the pass to Diggs. As good as Allen is, Maholmes is better, makes better throws and better decisions. Allen didn't lose the game but he wasn't good enough.

Also everyone seems to be forgetting that Hardman cost KC points. Both sides can point to plays that could have won/lost the game for them.

Horrible take by Ryan Clark, but he often has some horrible takes.

Josh Allen is one of the most defended and criticized QB's in the NFL. Anyone who says he isn't arguably the most criticized QB is just flat out wrong. He makes some really dumb plays sometimes, but also makes plays no other QB will make.

There is no way anyone with a functioning brain could have watched that game last night and come away thinking that it was Josh Allen's fault they lost. The sports discourse nowadays is just flat out lazy, and people just looking at the end result, and not how the game actually went.
It’s no one person’s fault, but let’s not let him escape culpability.

He got gifted multiple chances to win, including 2 bonehead fumbles (one by him, one by KC) that should’ve been touchdowns. Then we’re talking about a 41-24 blowout.

He averaged 5 yards a throw, threw a duck into the end zone while missing a wide open Diggs, and played scary football. There were drops, a missed FG and an injury ravaged defense, but let’s not act like Josh Allen balled out.

I haven't watched the video but I'm assuming RC is saying Josh Allen, despite playing well, deserves all the smoke for losing/choking in the playoffs because if this were Lamar (who had never had a good playoff game until Saturday vs. Houston), he'd be raked over the coals?

Yea he's pretty much taking one for the team

To be fair he said it wasn't Allen's fault they lost, but the greats find a way for their teams to win.
Exactly, RC didn't say Allen was the reason they lost. Because he wasn't...

But Josh Allen left plays on the field, he deserves mention for that. They didn't lose the game on a missed kick that would've only tied...

Also I don't think people hammer Josh for not having a ring, as someone upthread hinted at. It's more about the roller coaster play and, to RC's point, he dies everything you need him to do until you need him to do it most. Should've hit Diggs on the cross, but the TD to Shakir was there if he put more air under the ball on that very play, that pass landed like 4 yards in front of Shakir in the endzone...

That play where Shakir had to freaking dive to haul in the bomb, come on now, ball placement and accuracy are quarterback responsibilities, no one to blame there other than Allen. Then that final 3rd Down, he had Kincaid for a first down...

Again, I don't think Allen is the reason they lost, but he played marvelous until he had the ball with 2 minutes left with a chance to win. There's no way you can say that was a strong final drive from him. I'm an Allen fan, but we not doing this "he deserves no critique" shyt today...

And he's now 1-5 vs other elite QBs in the playoffs, amazingly he's 4-0 when the other team's QB is Just A Guy. RC said it in this clip, at some point he has to win these marquee matches vs other elite QBs...

And same energy coming if Lamar comtributes to a loss next week. Lamar currently has a losing playoff record, and his team is at home, better roster, favored vs Kansas City. Sane situation as Allen this week, Lamar better win that gotdamn game. Like RC said, and he's right, greatness isn't defined by not being the guy to lose the game, its defined by finding a way to win...

Lamar next on that screen...

The only thing Clark did wrong was wear that god awful jacket… with a turtleneck! Buttons in your lapels are absolutely unforgivable.

Inherent racial bias in full display. Glass is always half full with these cac qbs.

I hate that RC had to even preface his objective critique with all that extra sauce about how good Josh Allen is.

The same cacs would undermine a black qbs intelligence and straight up say the team needs to move on from him.

All fair points.

As for Baltimore... I think they are precisely built to defeat Kansas City on paper with that defense. But the games aren't played on paper so we will see.
