So weird. It's not like using Allen as your de facto RB is a foreign concept to the Bills eitherThey probably could have fukked the Chiefs' world up with zone reads or rollout QB sweeps off the playaction to offset that aggression.

Ya'll are legit mixing sports narratives now. "Hero ball" for a QB throwing to an open wr in the end zone.
NOPE.
IF HE HITS THAT TD
HE STILL LEFT 1:55 AND 2 TIMEOUTS
FOR MAHOMES TO COME
DOWN AND WIN THE GM
AS HE WATCHES HELPLESSLY FROM THE SIDELINES.
(KC PUNTED ONCE IN THE WHOLE GM)
IT WAS A TERRIBLE HERO BALL DECISION.
GET THE 1ST DOWN
AND FORCE KC TO BURN TIMEOUTS.

The defense made the play, Josh didn't make the throw. The decision was fine.
Ehh.... it was an open play but the gameplan was clearly to prioritize time of possession and not give the Chiefs the ball with a chance to win the game.Ya'll are legit mixing sports narratives now. "Hero ball" for a QB throwing to an open wr in the end zone.![]()

They had 2 timeouts and the Bills were doing nothing on the ground. KC was probably getting the ball back either way. Not to mention you needed more than a fg to win. This wasn't a situaion where you were down 2 or it was a tie game. Going for a td is a perfectly fine decision there. It's not like it was 3rd and 1 and he threw into double coverage. Knocking that decision is the epitome of results based thinking.Ehh.... it was an open play but the gameplan was clearly to prioritize time of possession and not give the Chiefs the ball with a chance to win the game.
Even if Allen hits that throw the Chiefs have an eternity to go put the ball in the end zone.
NOPE
PRIORITY 1 OUT OF THE 2 MIN WARNING
SHOULD HAVE BEEN TO PICK UP A FIRST
AND FORCE KC TO BURN TOS
Personally I thought they should've ran on 2nd down, but that's on the OC. As a Bills fan watching the game, I wanted the td above all else. Make Mahomes drive the field and keep him out of the end zone. If you can't do that you don't deserve to win.![]()
All the more reason to prioritize the TD over the clock. KC averaged 10 yards a play. No way the Bills win kicking a fg.
KC PUNTED ONCE IN
THE WHOLE GAME.
GOTTA USE BRAINS OVER EGO.
BILLS PLAYED THE TIME POSSESSION GM
ALL NIGHT FOR A REASON.
THEY WERE SCORING ON 10 MIN DRIVES
WHILE KC WAS SCORING ON 2 MIN DRIVES.
DEFENSE WAS BANGED UP.
Of course. A solid receiver room is ideal compared to a #1 and a bunch of other random guys, which is always the counter argument I use when some posters bring up a #1 receiver like it's the end all be all and your problems are solved. It definitely helps, but some nights your #1 receiver just isn't going to happen. If the Chiefs didn’t have a top 5 defense this yr (which tbf came at the expense of WR1), the outlook on the season is a lot different. It’s a balancing act. There is a bare minimum of WR corps that even the best can work with at the highest level. Look how much difference Zay and Odell have made on how teams can defend Bal. I don’t think you need a Tyreek/JJ/CD type (they definitely help), but you need a solid receiver room, unless there are absolutely no other holes in the roster

Bills ran for 180+ yards on the ground, most of that coming in the first 3 quarters. The Chiefs started run blitzing in the 4th, but they only attempted to run 7 times(8 if you wanna count the fake punt by Hamlin). The run game was working, full stop. They had 2 timeouts and the Bills were doing nothing on the ground. KC was probably getting the ball back either way. Nah, what was Lamar supposed to light it up with? It’s easy to give Lamar the benefit of the doubt when you recognize his supporting cast was non-existent.Allen is going to get these excuses because for the most part, he has always gone gangbusters in the postseason. In Lamar's case, Saturday was the first time he ever had a good game in the postseason. Somebody posted the stats in here earlier that prove it.
It's easy to give Josh Allen a pass if you watch him completely light up an opponent only for Mahomes to light Allen's defense right back up at the end.

Your whole game plan is to keep Mahomes on the bench, you didn't need a quick strike - matter of fact, it's probably more harm than good. If you're going for the killshot with 1 min on the clock and the Chiefs have no timeouts, no problem(though that's still a lot of time for Mahomes). 1:55 and two timeouts? Ridiculous.
neither did I, read it again...
NO ONE SAID PRIORITIZE THE FG OVER THE TD
YOU SECURE THE FIRST DOWN
THEN GO FOR THE TD.
