The UFC won't go down because they have no competition. Dana knows this, so he can do whatever the fukk he wants to maximize the UFC's money without having to pay the fighters. It's just like how Vince has a strangehold over wrestling and how the wrestlers can't do anything about it.
Yea I get all that, but eventually the fighters will establish a union of some sort and demand a higher profit share...just like MLB NBA and NFL...the rule to any league is PAY THE TALENT...eventually these UFC fighters will catch on...boxing struggled until they figured out how to pay the talent(and they still suck sort of)...gotta keep the talent happy tho

As soon as some attorney sees them as a profitable target...if the UFC gets extra large and lands let's say a major TV deal, those fighters will be approached by some opportunist to negotiate some type of bargaining rights. I'm surprised no one did the same over this reebok deal

They already got a major TV deal with FOX. The fighters aren't organized enough to come together. Most of the fighters are fighting because they love the sport. Without the UFC, there isn't an alternative. There isn't really an Olympic option. BJJ, kickboxing, muay thai and wrestling aren't as lucrative of an option as even the watered down UFC salary. There's no more PRIDE in Japan. There's no Strikeforce. Bellator is like an even worse TNA-equivalent. Plus, the people who have spoken out about the Reebok deal publicly have been punished. One of the cut guys got fired for saying he's lost money from the Reebok deal. That's pretty much all he said. Didn't say anything bad about the deal, just that he's losing money from it & they fired his ass.
The NFL had the AFL to worry about, and the NBA had the ABA. UFC doesn't have anything to worry about. They have the upperhand on the fighters
