Pride FC going under was a dark day for MMA. WEC, Strikeforce, Ballator, etc. was never the competitor that Pride was. Rampage, Hendo, BJ, Wanderlei, Vitor, Fedor, Iceman and the list goes on and on of fighters that left the UFC, went to UFC late or never fought at all (Fedor) because they were making good money in Japan. Fighters need legit options.
UFC could only dream of having the big fight atmosphere that Pride had.

Dana won't pay because every fighter is replaceable. They market them as best in the world but they aren't clear cut better than fighters on other promotions. Boxing champions are clear cut the best in the world, UFC champions are streaky
