They run it like a self contained business so the over head is much higher for them than a boxing promoter

boxing ppvs don't need stack cards, people only pay to see the UFC, the UFC has a shyt load of matches on each ppv

The UFC has TOO MANY PPVS, they have too many ppvs and not enough talent on the roster to justify the ppvs

If they cut on the ppvs and actually built up fighters they would have more stars and more anticipated matches, but they don't understand that, which is why their roster is depleted and they have to recycle opponents in multiple divisions

Jon jones who is considered one of the GOATs has been trying to get real money for his move to heavyweight and Derrick Lewis (a popular heavyweight contender) openly campaigned for his spot and for less.
