If all the top names in the UFC got together, and bridged a deal with another organization and/or capital investor(s), they can leverage their positions and thrive without the brand of UFC imo

it isn't easy to do, but it is do-able

of course that takes ego to be put aside and willingness to communicate and go against the grain

He also refused to put the Heavyweight championship belt around a black fighters waist.
Francis Ngannou reacts to Dana White not putting belt around his waist, skipping UFC 270 press conference

Lmao...Wilder and Fury made so much in the last two fights..they are in retirement mode and these ufc nyggas can't even get a $8 million payday? Lol. Jon Jones asked if $20 million is too much to ask for in a heavyweight title..I tweeted "HELL fukkING NAH" Drain that motherfukker.

UFC doesn't make enough to pay them

people only count how much they make not the cost it takes to run the UFC

They run it like a self contained business so the over head is much higher for them than a boxing promoter

boxing ppvs don't need stack cards, people only pay to see the UFC, the UFC has a shyt load of matches on each ppv

The UFC has TOO MANY PPVS, they have too many ppvs and not enough talent on the roster to justify the ppvs

If they cut on the ppvs and actually built up fighters they would have more stars and more anticipated matches, but they don't understand that, which is why their roster is depleted and they have to recycle opponents in multiple divisions

Top names won't do it. They get paid millions if they have fans.

Someone in the UFC sending racist text messages to Nganous manager

This is what they do whenever someone tries to challenge the status quo. Threats, bullying and intimidation in order to keep these guys in line.

If Nganou gets the Fury fight he should make about 4 million dollars. He would have to fight 8 times in the UFC to make that same amount. High profile fighters only fight twice a year too.

If you aren't going to pay your champ you can't be mad he's looking for money elsewhere

This the most attention the fighter pay has gotten thanks to Francis going over. Let's see where this go but typically MMA is a selfish sport and fighters got bills so it doesn't matter how much of a star you happen to be when there is another popular contender willing to do it for way less than your chosen pay raise. Jon jones who is considered one of the GOATs has been trying to get real money for his move to heavyweight and Derrick Lewis (a popular heavyweight contender) openly campaigned for his spot and for less.
