Best video on YouTube. This Spanish Joint may even trump the studio AND acoustic version, this is probably my single most listened to piece of music in the last couple years.

Perfect arrangement ... D at home on the CP80, Chris Dave playing completely possessed, the seamless transitions throughout, the Vanguard on backing vocals... live horns... Pino Palladino in another world... Isaiah's solo & Jesse motherfukking Johnson floating everywhere else.

Musical nirvana right here... spirit ascending vibrations...

Yeah this shyt is incredible. Flawless. Effortless. This is art in it's purest form

I'd like to see him do a straight up Gospel album. After he releases the sequel to Black Messiah of course.
I want a gospel album too. I need that and a blues album.

D’Angelo can basically make anything sound dope. Dude just had the best ear for music. We’re so blessed to call him our favorite artist. :D

Always wondering would we have gotten more music in that long time span we had to wait if it wasnt for the Untitled video. I kno he had the drug issue but a bigger fight he was fighting was being labeled a sex symbol I remember reading an article years ago and it spoke on how D was scared of coming back out cause of the new found status of a sex symbol and living up to that and he felt they wouldn't listen to the music but be more focus on his built. Remember when he first hit the scene he was a chubby cat so the new physique to him kinda came with a price

Also why in the fukk streaming services replace his version of Geto Heaven with that Macy Gray version on LWFC pisses me off. It messes up the spiritual flow. The D version is God Sent

He also talked about how he would do so many crunches before his Voodoo tour shows and how women would constantly scream "take it off!". I sometimes feel like "Untitled (How Does It Feel)" is a gift and a curse. It is such a classic song/and video, but people were more concerned about his image/physique more so than his music. I also remember reading about him being a little chubby and not fit like he was during the Voodoo era. I always wonder how his career would have turned out if the Untitled video never dropped. I'm sure we would have gotten a few more albums in those 15 years since it's release. I also wonder if he would have gotten as much respect musically as he does now or if he would have been underrated in the same realm as Bilal, Eric Roberson, and Rahasaan Patterson.

I never really fukked with Macy Gray's version of Geto Heaven. I really dunno why they don't have it on streaming services. smh. I could never get into her voice and D's version definitely fits better within the rest of the album. I didn't really care for her on D's remake of "Water Get No Enemy" neither (even though I like D's version of the song).

On the topic of Black Messiah I remember when it drop my man from Kindred the Family Soul threw a sub at D on Instagram cause they dropped on the same day and everyone was raving praising and paying attention to D while the Kindred album fell waist side. It got so bad he had to put out another message saying he wasnt throwing shots. Forget the initial message but it was sumthin along the lines of how yall riding D when he left for 15 years and we been dropping music non stop

I feel that way too its his gift and curse. I don't think he wouldve been underrated as he is still the reigning king of New Generation Soul. I feel most would prob have a hard time keeping up cause he ever changing with every album.

You took me back with that Water Get No Enemy that song stayed on rotation..

I really wonder when album #4 is going to drop and what it's going to be titled. I would like another release around Christmas this year like Black Messiah (now that was a beautiful Christmas present. I still can't believe it actually dropped lol). But we'll see.

Yep! Great cover song. D'Angelo always come through clutch with covers though. He truly can't do any wrong.

Oh really? I also remember Tank throwing shots at D too, or something like that on Instagram around the time BM dropped food I think some artists felt a way that there was still a lot of interest in D’ and his music after 15 years. More interest than the music they were releasing at the time. But I remember many artists showing D love when it was released too.
