1's; Russell doesn't consistently get into the paint like those two can. Russell's been a 2 his whole life. The push to make him a PG never made sense, especially when he's 6'5".

Let Clarkson be the PG like he's always been and have Russell focus on scoring first. He's always gonna make the right passes when the opportunities present themselves.
He gets to the paint at decent rate and is getting better at it. Also, he's surprisingly a good finisher and has a good floater.

I don't get it breh. Curry and Lillard (among others) look to score almost every time down the court and that aggressiveness opens the floor for their teammates. Russell can do the same thing.

Clarkson still has tunnel vision and just can't find guys like Russell consistently does. With that said there is nothing wrong with having 2 combo guards in the back court if we have a lot of versatility at the other positions.

The difference is that curry and lillard are both great at igniting the offense

They were both older day 1 also. Hes obviously not a finished product

True but one was a better athlete/stronger at Washington day 1 and the other is the GOAT shooter....huge reach to bet he has that upside.

Yea it's obvious as hell Russell is a PG....Russell just has a better basketball IQ and he's the type you want as a floor general. Nothing makes Clarkson qualified to run point over russell. He's more athletic but that's it.

That can be learned. Curry was a SG his entire life until his last year at Davidson. He had to learn the position and how to ignite the offense. Westbrook was another example of a guy that was converted to PG in the NBA.

Russell has a very high BBIQ. He can learn how to ignite an offense...

Russell has a better feel than Clarkson, but he's still a 2. Some of you guys act like that means he can't pass the ball. It will help defensively as well. Both have their issues on that side of the ball but Clarkson has much better physical tools to keep up with opposing PGs, just needs a real coach.

What I've been trying to argue is that the positions don't matter much anymore in the modern age...there is a lot of ambiguity.

Are you saying that Russell has the best scoring package, should be the #1 option, and has the better chance to guard 2's, so he should be a 2? Moving Russell to the 2 actually removes a lot of advantages he has over point guards. He can see the floor over, shoot over, and/or post most 1's.
