Man, I have When we get by and shyt, Damn, Motherf’er on rotation. That first album takes me to a time in which I didn’t get to participate as an adult (I was 8 when it came out). I just imagine what it would’ve been like in a club, having a drink, and listening to Smooth.

I’m so glad to have discovered his work, in a real way, in my early teens. As an adult, a lot of it resonates to this day.
