Pancreatic cancer is the most sudden, unexpected, rapid and deadliest type of cancer with the lowest Survival rates. Poor man had no chance to survive and was doomed from the start unfortunately.

RIP. Another music legend gone too soon.

My condolences to his grieving friends and family.
One of my friends lost his pops to it basically in a 2 week span, he complained about stomach pain went to hospital was told he had a week to live :mjcry:

Its been taking me awhile to process this. Haven't even played anything from him since the news. Cant play his music at the moment. Its gonna be awhile before I can play his music. This reminds me of Prodigy eerily. I expected him to drop some new music soon because it felt like he was going to come back outside. Truth be told, I was concerned about him after Angie Stone's death especially with the rumors of the label and etc. But D health wise wasnt doing that well. Remember he was having substance abuse issues and medical emergencies between VooDoo and Black Messiah. Just when it seemed like he was getting back on track, this happens. RIP but to me hes still alive though. We playing his music like he just dropped it. He never dropped a wack album, a wack song and he made sure that it was top tier where it was timeless. Even if he only put out 3 albums that are classics is better than artists with 30 albums with maybe 1 or 2 classics. His kids should be good hopefully.

I hope D at least was able to work out something where we can hear all the unreleased and cutting floor music because that is FIRE too.

I havent replied too much because I couldn't even process this shyt... This man's music was apart of the soundtrack my growing years and many memories of people that Ive known in the past was tied to it which gives me different reminders..... I remember my Aunt(who passed away years ago) had the R.kelly Album(His 2nd album) and Brown Sugar playing... I was like "Who is this cat singing Crusin" she was like "Oh its this new artist name D-Angelo" and I got hooked with his music since... Then his contributions to Lauryn Hill's album, Common's LWFC album and Voodoo... Then coming back out of nowhere with Black Messah and sampling KHALID MUHAMMAD?

Good tribute. As Bob Marley said, " when music hits ya, you feel no pain. This guy took you back to your Aunt.
