Truth is the Yes! movement is memetic. And losing D Bry costs the meme it's momentum. And vice versa. Try to build the same underdog groundswell around it again, inorganically (and filtered through awful WWE creative) and you're basically out there trying to get laughs with I can haz cheezburger in 2014/15. It's goin to be so tough to bring him back to the same level.

That said, he goes in the ring (no homo) so that will always work in his favour. I'm just riffing chea

It's actually amazing when you think about it. Dude had every obstacle thrown at him and had nature working completely against him.. Had his honeymoon booked the week after Mania, his father dies the very next week two hours before RAW, his first make a wish kid died the next week, he gets booked in a wrestlecrap feud with Kane, he's booked like a coward babyface running from his opponent, the WWE commits a cardinal sin by involving his untalented wife in his storyline, then he breaks his neck a month into his run...

All that and he STILL had a better run with the belt than Orton and Punk. Hell, his matches with Del Rio on RAW and Kane at a PPV were better than any match Orton had during his last run not involving Bryan and more entertaining than most of Punk's sloppy matches during his run.
find me a bad randy orton match not involving sheamus or big show in the last 3 years

Nothing you can do bout injuries breh...

Might as well have a fighting champion for the time being. Once Bryan recovers, he will win the straps back all over again so the E can make more money off it.

This is incorrect because one Bryan's run was literally only match , and the build was him getting washed up by the demon kane . Punks Run consisted of a feud with Bryan , the feud with cena , his family being losers The introduction of the shield , the count down , the heel turn on Rocky , teaming with heyman feud with Rocky . I can't believe that you really think that one month where he wasn't on tv all the weeks was better than punks . Even the back and forth with Nash was funny . I like Bryan but nots say his reign was good it was pretty pretty bad

LOL at blaming this lame duck, unwilling participant of bukkake level of degradation-tier ass title run on Danielson himself. Dude had THE worst string of bad fortune. I do agree that if he wasn't so passive, we might've been spared dude RUNNING from Kane.

But an injury? The passing of his dad? Shiiiiit. Judging by how the crowd reacted when he was stripped (and he wasn't even there), he'll be just fine when he comes back reaction wise. But his injury occurred at a worse time, under worse circumstances than say...Ziggler's. WWE perversely punishes people for getting hurt sometimes. We might see this guy jobbing to Sandow in Street Fights by the fall.

Or a return to this...

Not Bryan's fault that Mania was a triple threat.

Not Bryan's fault that he was booked against Kane rather than his WM opponents.

Not Bryan's fault that he got injured.

Not Bryan's fault that the title will now be defended in a gimmick match.

DEFINITELY not his fault that WWE stock plummeted. Bryan has no control over the WWE network.

I would only concede that they could have done a better job with the Kane feud, but it's still a fukking Kane feud.

As for the ratings shyt, people throw that card around way too much without providing links to numbers. So I'm not giving that argument any credit.
